UNIT II , PROJECTIONS OF POINTS

1)A point at 25 above the reference line xy is the front view of two points A and B .The point A is 40
behind VP and the point B is 50 infront of VP.Draw the projections of the points and state their
positions relative to the planes of projection and the quadrants in which the lie.
2)A point pP is 20mm below HP and 30mm behind VP and another point Q is 25mm above HP and 35mm
infront VP .Draw its Projections By taking the distance between the end projections to be 50mm .Also
find the length of the line joining their plans and elevations.
3)A point P is 15mm below HP and 25mm above HP and 15mm behind VP .The distance between the
end projections is 60mm .Draw its projections and join the line joining their plans and elevations.
4)A point P is 15 above the HP and 20 infront of the VP .Another Point Q is 25 behind the VP and 40mm
below the HP .Draw the projections of P and Q keeping the distances between the projectors equal to
90.Draw straight lines joining (a)their top views (b)their front views.
5)Two points A and B are in the HP the point A is 30 infront of VP while B is behind the VP the distance
between thei projectors is 75 and the line joining their top views makes an angle of 45 degree with
XY.Find the distance of point B,from the VP.
6)A point P is on both HP and VP ,Another Point Q is 35mm above HP and 40mm infront of VP .Draw
its projections when the line joining their plans is 70mm .Also draw and measure the line joining their
elevations.
7)Two points P and Q are in the HP .The point P is 30 infront of VP. And Q is behind the VP .The distance
between their projectors is 80 and line joining their top views makes an angle of 40degree with XY .Find
the distance of the point Q from the VP.
8)Two points A and B are in the HP the point A is 30mm infornt of the VP while B is behind the V P .The
distance between their projectors is 75mm and the line joining their top views makes an angle of
45degree with XY .Find the distance of the point B from the VP.
9)Two pegs fixed on a wall are 4.5m apart .The distance between the pegs measured parallel to the floor
is 3.6m..If one peg is 1.5m above the second peg and the inclinations of the line joining the two pegs
,with the floor.
10)A point A is 40 above HP and 25 infront of VP another point B is 20 behind VP and 30 below HP the
horizontal distance between the points is 100.Draw the three projections of the points A and B and join
their front views ,top views and left side views.
11)A point P is 20 below the HP lies in the third quadrant .Its shortest distance from XY is 40.Draw its
projections.
12)Draw the projections of a point lying in first quadrant such that its shortest distance from the reference
line XY is 50 and it is equidistance from HP and VP .The point is 30 from P.P. Draw the projections of the
point and determine its distances from HP and VP.
