Charles C. Trowbridge This Indenture made the twelfth day of [October in the year of] our
To Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty two between Charles
Robert Parks C Trowbridge of the city of Detroit in the Territory of Michigan of the first
part and Robert Parks of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first part for an in
consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty Dollars to him in hand paid by the said party of
the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged hath granted bargained sold
remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell remise release
alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all that
certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the town of Bloomfield in the County of Oakland in
the said Territory known and described as the South west quarter of section numbered eight of
Township numbered two north in range numbered eleven east in the District of Detroit containing
one hundred and sixty acres being the same piece parcel or tract of land which was purchased by
George Abbey from the Government of the United States as appears by the Patent of the said United
States bearing date on the tenth day of November one thousand and eight hundred and twenty one and
by his son Abbey the legal heir and Representative of the said George Abbey conveyed to the said party
of the first part by Deed bearing date on the twenty eighth day of September one thousand and eight
hundred and twenty two. Together with all singular the hereditaments and reversion and reversions
remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest claim and
demand whatsoever of said party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained
premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances To have and to hold the said premises above
described to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use
benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of
the first part for himself heirs executors & administrators doth covenant grant bargain and agree to and
with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that at the time of the ensealing and delivery
of these presents he is well seized of the premises above conveyed as of a good sure perfect absolute
and indefeasible estate of inheritance in the law in fee simple and that the above bargained premises in
the quiet and peaciable [sic] possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against
all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part thereof he will forever
warrant and defend

In witness whereof the party of the first part hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first
above written.

Coutnty of Waynre } ss: Be it Remembered and Known that before me Thomas Rowland one of the
Justices of the peace in and for the county of Wayne aforesaid personally appeared Charles C
Trowbridge the maker of the within deed of conveyance and acknowledged the same to be his voluntary
act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. All of which I do certify according to the Statutes. Given
under my hand and seal at Detroit on the twelfth day of October one thousand eight hundred and twenty
two.
