Yet the reason for Leilas ouster as chairman of the panel was due mainly to the fact that she
introduced her witness, Matobato to testify on the Davao Death Squad killings during Rodys
time as mayor of the city, which really had nothing to do with the subject matter in her
resolution, which is a probe on the extrajudicial killings under the Duterte presidency, and her
penchant for springing Matobato as her surprise witness, without providing the senators any
background prior to her witness; testimony, easily ripped apart by the other senators, even
with Leila as chairman then.
Despite Leilas claim of her being shamed and degraded in the House of Representatives
probe of the drugs trade in the New Bilibid Prison, even the politically jaded could see that the
probe is orderly and handled well by the congressmen, headed by Rep. Rey Umali who has
proven thus far to keep control over the hearings, without emotional outbursts from him.
What is surprising however, is the way Leila has been reacting to the House probe and the
testimonies aired, considering the fact that she had done the same to the political foes of
Noynoy Aquino, who, having no achievement to brag, had ensured that his political foes
would be his exhibits in his war against corruption, while ensuring that his allies would be
protected from any criminal charges.
Worse, he and Leila prostituted the so-called democratic institutions, such as the Congress,
the AMLC, the Office of the Ombudsman, the courts of law, the justices to ensure the criminal
charges and detention of his political foes, among whom are the three opposition senators,
the Chief Justice of the Philippines, the former President, the former Vice President and
others, but not one of his corrupt allies was ever charged with plunder, despite the many
complaints leveled against them before the Ombudsmans office.
Aguirre, it must be said, is going about his job as justice chief, the right way, following the
laws and the Constitution.
The same cannot be said of Leila de Lima as Justice chief. Recall that she defied the
Supreme Court when she barred Gloria Arroyo from leaving the country, despite the fact that
there were as yet no charges filed against her, and even when the SC had already given
Gloria the greenlight to leave for abroad. And then she and the election chairman, Sixto
Brillantes, quickly rushed a manufactured electoral sabotage case against Gloria to ensure
her detention then again, charged her with plunder of the charity funds office when Gloria was
granted bail by the court, to keep her detained.
It is Leila who manufactures evidence and charges and detains foes on fabrications.
Aguirre appears to ensure that his case is airtight before filing charges against Leila and even
higher ups in the yellow regime.
Big difference it is.

I can't take more of Leila De Lima and her paawa shows , and it's refreshing that some
media unlike biased owned ABSCBN/GMATVNEWS to name a few still sugar coat their
articles on her still projecting her to be an honorable ex DOJ/now Senator. Shite!
Walang delicadeza tao na yan - Senate is very much tainted with her and her protector
Trillianes in it.
