San Diego Cultural Festival to Help El Cajon District to Transform Into the Next

Little Italy
San Diego's largest Lunar New Year Festival featuring Asian delicacies and unique cultural
delights, now with more carnival rides and a beer garden new for 2017.
San Diego, CA, December 31, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Little Saigon San Diego Foundation is excited to
announce the return of its flagship event, the Lunar New Year Festival at Qualcomm Stadium. Scheduled
January 20-22, 2017, the Qualcomm Lunar New Year Festival attracts over 30,000 guests each year.
The Lunar New Year Festival at Qualcomm is produced by the the The Little Saigon Foundation of San
Diego (LSF) is a 501(c)(3) for the betterment and improvement of the Little Saigon Cultural and
Business District along El Cajon Boulevard from Highland Avenue to Euclid Avenue. The LSF is an
organization in City Heights whose mission is to develop the local community through means of
revitalizing its infrastructure, promoting culture and tourism in the area, and engaging youth, residents,
and businesses in civic responsibilities.
People of ages can attend this festival and feel proud that they are supporting a San Diego district in much
needed improvements through their enjoyment and increased awareness of the cultural features at the
festival via the Little Saigon Foundation. The Festival features:
- A unique mix of amazing Asian delicacies from country such as Thai, Lao, Vietnamese, Chinese,
Taiwanese, Philippine are all confirmed to present. Exotic and luscious desserts and delicious beverages
such as boba mixed drinks and smoothies. Don't forget BBQ ribs and Kettle corn too. Vegetarian and
vegan food also available.
- More Carnival rides for all ages.
- Live entertainment and Firecracker and Lion Dance shows will be performing every day.
- Beer Garden - Good food, great beer and great atmosphere.
- Cultural Village - amazing replicas of famous landmarks and unusual structures in Asia.
- Free parking, free carnival ride ticket and more with $6 admission fee.
- Free admission for those born under the sign of the Rooster
No other festival in San Diego offers culture and fun for the sake of creating a new and exciting district
within San Diego. The city can say, 'hey man, it's the Little Saigon District,' and you can look it up on
Google map, said Frank Vuong President, Co-Founder, Acting Executive Director. A lot of people
don't like to go to City Heights because they think it's a ghetto area and we will change that.
