OMG is that a Blackhead
Ever look at someone and notice something stuck between their teeth? That is how I feel
when I see someone with a nose piercing. A small group of people may think these type [this
type or these types] of piercings are attractive but I am most definitely now [not] one of them. It
comes to mind wondering if people who get these type of piercings do so without looking at all
possible side effects by getting it. Have they worried about the possible health complication that
comes from getting them or possible job implications?
In the article Nose Piercings: Historical Significance and potential consequences
[comma] it starts off what is a nose piercing, where did it originate from and the potential
consequences of getting them. In this article I find the credibility of the source to be reliable as it
is backed by a doctor specializing in dermatology. I feel this article was published in order to
understand how such a thing came to be and why it is potential[ly] harmful to you to get one.
This makes the article very credible to me since it is unbiased in that it looks at it from a medical
perspective.
In the next article called Pierced for Success? : The effects of Ear and Nose Piercings on
Perceptions of Job Candidates Credibility, Attractiveness and Hirability. This article was
published in Communication Research Reports in order to get a better understanding on how
Nose and ear piercings can affect your life. The article it is very credible as it lists numerous
amounts of facts and does studies using managers and undergrads to help determine the effect
from those piercings. I am not sure how credible the authors are other than knowing they were
both working for the University of Utah. I do find the information in the article to be reliable due
to doing so much research on both sides of the argument.

I find that the article Pierced for Success? Was way more persuasive. This is due to the
fact that the article went into depth of how despite people saying they like the others nose
piercings but majority would be unwilling to ever get it themselves because they find it
unattractive on themselves. [This is a comma spliceuse two or three sentences for clarity] It
also went on to show the dramatic drop in hiring rates in many hiring fields when the perspective
[prospective] employee would have piercings due to finding it unprofessional. My view on
things has not changed after reading these to [two] articles [new sentence] if anything it makes
me more sure of myself that nose piercings are only bad short and long term for you. For me I
would need articles showing the change in how are [our] culture views these types of piercing[s]
in a positive light. [This might be] So that there wouldnt be personal or professional hindrances
from getting them.

You used two impressive articles on a subject I originally thought might be light on research.
You followed the assignment elements very well and formatted this nicely. There are a number of
writing errors that detract from clarity and distract the readerbetter editing and proofreading
will help with that and use of Writepoint and Grammarly. By the way, I can accept nose piercings
more than tongue piercing, which I find very distracting and potentially debilitating! Grade 8/10
