My dearest friends and family,

As I look back over this past year, I cant help but feel overwhelmed with love and gratitude for all that God has
done in my life. And a large part of that is because of each of you! You have loved me, prayed for me, encouraged me,
supported me, reached out to me, met with me when I was home, and so, so much more! You have each given a piece of
yourselves to me this year and I dont take that for granted. I am who I am today because of each of you; and Id be wrong
not to take a moment to thank you. Thank you for loving me so well this past year!!
In 2017, if God sees fit, I do hope to continue serving Him in South Africa. There are so many new opportunities
and so many people in need in that area that my heart craves being there, serving them, covering them with the love that
overflows from my heart the love of God. I am praying about opportunities to work more in the townships, to learn the
heart-language of many of the people groups in the area (Afrikaans), to build more relationships with people in both the
town I live and those in the townships surrounding Plettenberg Bay. And I am also praying for ways to bring others willing
to serve along with me into the ministry opportunities I discover in the local townships.
I also have many prayers for you and your family this coming year. I pray that God shows Himself to you in a new
and vibrant way unlike He has ever done before. I pray that He shows you who you are in His eyes - who He created you to
be. I pray that He surrounds you with love and compassion from others so that you can walk through this dark world with
a light from above shining all around you. And I pray that He grants you the opportunity to use the special gifts and talents
He has given you in a way that is new and rewarding to bring Him honor and glory. And lastly, I pray that He gives you threefold what you have given me this past year.

Thank you for your continued love and support! You mean so much to me!
God bless you!

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a
pathway through the wilderness. I will create a river in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

FUNDRAISER EVENT

KRISTIN FREUDENTHAL
OBJECTIVES:
-

To Know God More and Make Him

Known More
To Show Children That They Are Loved
and Valued

In early 2016 I had the blessing to meet with several people in one-on-one
meetings and in small and large groups to share my heart and story. These
meetings led to my prayer partners, encouragers, monthly sponsors, and
occasional sponsors. I could not have made it through this year without each
and every one of you. Thank you!

THE VISA PROCESS

I was able to walk through the very detailed visa process for a volunteer
South African visa. By the grace of God and through the prayers of many I
was granted my visa, after the appeal process.

A Prayer:
Lord God, my King, thank You, my God, first for being
my God; for loving me enough to want me in Your will;
for loving me enough to give up Your only, precious,
holy Son for me; for loving me enough to never leave
my side. Thank You, Gracious Father, for every person
You have led to walk alongside me this year. You
surround me with Your favor in the form of Your Holy
Army. Thank You, Lord. Bless them, God, for all that
they have given on my behalf. Multiply their gifts back
into their own lives. In Your Holy Name I Pray, Amen

God granted me with the much prayed for blessing of a flat in South Africa.
This was no small thing as long-term rentals are hard to come by in Plett. Not
only did He bless me with a flat, but one that was in walking distance of
several shops and in the heart of the town invaluable since I dont have a
car in SA.

ARRIVAL IN SA
I arrived safely, and with many blessings along the way, in Plettenberg Bay in
early September of this year. I have felt such peace, love, and guidance in
this town. And I am truly honored to be able to serve my God and allow Him
to grow and change me in this country.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS IN SA
I have begun to build relationships with the local church, Plett Community
Church, as well as many others in the community. Ive also begun to build
relationships with the people of two of the local townships, and to start
working with the Reading Program in one of the township primary schools.

Goals for 2017

More access to the townships for ministry outreach

Learn more of the language
Continue to help Merryfield Childrens Village grow
Continue to serve the Reading Program in the township
Find more opportunities to serve
Continue to learn more about God
Find more ways to include supporters back home
