FAQs
Q: What kind of game will be made in the workshop?
A: In this workshop, you will learn to create your own first-person horror game, just
like Slender Man. You will create a simple level, add a first-person controller/camera,
write scripts to add interactivity, add audio to enhance the atmosphere, and create
an enemy with basic artificial intelligence.
Q: Do I have to bring my own laptop?
A: Yes. The workshop will be held in a classroom so the participants should bring
their own laptop and other devices such as mice, keyboard, flash drives, etc.
Extension cords will be provided.
Q: Can I still join the workshop if I dont have my own laptop?
A: Yes, but the workshop is designed as a step-by-step tutorial so it is highly
recommended for each student to bring their own laptop with Unity installed. If you
dont have a laptop, you can partner or sit with your friend so you can still follow.
However, you will still pay the full workshop fee.
Q: What software do I need?
A: You need the latest version of Unity 5 which you can get on their website
(https://unity3d.com). Installing Unity takes time because the installer will download
all the necessary files before installing. You will also have to activate your Unity
license, which is free. You can visit the school and we will assist you in installing and
activating your copy of Unity.
Q: What other things should I bring?
A: You should also bring your own mouse as working in Unity needs one. Bringing
your own pocket wi-fi is also recommended (but optional). Extension cords will be
provided but you can also bring your own.
Q: Do I need to know any programming language to participate in this workshop?
A: No. The workshop was designed with the beginner in mind. Although knowledge
in C# will make it easier for you.
Q: I dont want to make a horror game. I want to learn something else?
A: Different games will be taught in future workshops such as first-person shooters
(FPS), endless runner games, simulation games, mobile games, and Virtual Reality

Q: Will I get a certificate after the workshop?
A: Yes. Each participant will receive a digital certificate of participation/completion
that will be emailed to them.
Q: Are there any discounts or promotions available?
A: Yes. All JSAT alumni will get a P500 discount. If you bring a friend, you will only
pay a total of P5,000 for the two of you (P1,000 discount). For four people, you will
only have to pay P9,000 (P3,000 discount). So the more people who registers, the
more discount they will receive.
Q: Is there an installment basis for payment?
A: Yes. You can pay a reservation fee of P1000 and then pay the remaining fee on or
before the workshop.
Q: Can I make a payment through my bank?
A: Yes, just contact us to get our bank details and procedures for any bank
payments.
Q: What is your refund policy? What if I already paid but cant attend the workshop
for some reason?
A: The registration fee is non-refundable, but transferrable. If you are unable to
attend the workshop for some reason, another person (a friend or a family member)
can attend in your stead. You can also reserve the fee for a future Unity workshop.
You just have to inform us at least two (2) days before the workshop date about it.
In case the workshop will be canceled, that is the only time we will issue refunds.
Q: What if the target number of students has not been reached?
A: For this workshop, the minimum number of students is 10 and the maximum is
15 (to ensure that the instructor will be able to monitor and assist each and every
student). If this number has not been reached one (1) week before the workshop,
there is a possibility that the workshop date will be moved to a future date until the
target number of students is reached. You will receive a notification from the school
if ever the workshop will be moved. So it is a good idea to invite your friends to join
you in the workshop.
Q: If I have any other questions, how can I contact you?
A: You can call us at (046) 417-1947 or send a text message to 0920-206-7572 /
0922-916-1839. You can also visit our Facebook page at
