Aristotle was a great philosopher and an amazing teacher.
He explored many places, to
study and discover many philosophical facts which he went on and taught many students. However some of his discoveries were wrong, for example when the atomic theory was discovered he didnt believe it and he thought everything was made of water, air, earth and fire elements, and some of his work was correct and was used for centuries after he died. So this biography will cover topics like his accomplishments, life and work. Aristotle was an intelligent philosopher who was born in 184B.C in Stagira, Greece. He went to study in the year of 367 he went to study with Plato in Athens. Aristotle was a very intelligent student however he disagreed with Platos teachings. After the death of Plato, even with the intelligence of Aristotle he wasnt given the title of the leader of his Academy, so Aristotle left the academy and went on a trip to explore in the place, which is now called Turkey. When he went to Macedonia in 338B.C. There he became the teacher or tutor of Alexander the Great. Then Alexander the great concurred Athens. Since Aristotle was Alexanders teacher Alexander let Aristotle take over the academy, which he used to study in, and Aristotle called it Lyceum. After Alexander died, the citizens of Athens protested and Aristotle had to flee to Euboea islands to avoid death punishment. However the Euboea islands were the place of his death. Even though Aristotle wasnt very nice to Athens , yet his work was still used for many centauries. Aristotle made a lot of notes and studies throughout his life. He wrote hundred and fifty philosophical treatises, and 30 of them were major problems, for biology, physics and even politics. However many of the treatises are thought to be some kind of lesson notes that Aristotle taught his students with. However many of those lesson notes were very accurate and could only be made by first-hand experience. The work was used for centuries, until the ones which were wrong were proven and some are still used today. Aristotle accomplished many things in his life, like he was the first person to classify animals. He made five groups; mammals, fish, birds, amphibians and reptiles, and whales, which he didnt realize, were mammals. He though all live things was made from souls, plants had the lowest type of souls, animals had higher souls and humans have reasoning souls. He also classified animals with red blood and without red blood, which today is known as vertebrae and invertebrate. This lead to another line of facts, which we are still learning today. Knowing yourself, is the beginning of all wisdom this is a quote from Aristotle, and this is what made me inspired to learn and write a biography about Aristotle. His way of thinking and viewing the world is very wide and keen. The discoveries he made even if they were wrong they still would be hard to find out and prove, but Aristotle could and thats why I respect his work and teachings. Aristotle showed that there are almost unlimited amount of facts and creatures that exist in this world. Even if he is no longer alive, his work will always be remembered.
