Liturgist: Jack Miller

Processional Hymn
Hymn #156 Ride On
All Be Seated
Officiant: But the hour cometh and now is, when the
true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and
in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.
John 4:23
Confession
Officiant: Let us humbly confess our sins unto
Almighty God.
All: Almighty and most merciful Father, we have
erred and strayed from thy ways like lost
sheep, we have followed too much the devices
and desires of our own hearts, we have
offended against thy holy laws, we have left
undone those things which we ought to have
done, and we have done those things which we
ought not to have done. But Thou, O Lord,
have mercy upon us, spare thou those who
confess their faults, restore thou those who
are penitent, according to thy promises
declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord;
and grant, O merciful Father, for his sake, that

we may hereafter live a godly, righteous and

sober life, to the glory of thy holy Name.
Amen.

Officiant: Grant, we beseech thee, merciful Lord, to

thy faithful people pardon and peace, that they may
be cleansed of their sin and serve thee with a quiet
mind. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
All: Amen

Psalm 118
Sung in alternatim by verse
(Eb&F)
19 Open me the gates of righteousness, * that I may
go into them, and give thanks unto the LORD.
20 This is the gate of the LORD, * the righteous shall
enter into it.
21 I will thank thee; for thou hast heard me, * and
art become my salvation.
22 The same stone which the builders refused, * is
become the head-stone in the comer.
23 This is the LORD'S doing, * and it is marvellous in
our eyes.
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; * we
will rejoice and be glad in it.
25 Help me now, O LORD: * O LORD, send us now
prosperity.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the Name of the
LORD: * we have wished you good luck, we that are
of the house of the LORD.
27 God is the LORD, who hath showed us light: *
bind the sacrifice with cords, yea, even unto the
horns of the altar.

28 Thou art my God, and I will thank thee; * thou

art my God, and I will praise thee.
29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is gracious,
* and his mercy endureth for ever.
Glory to father, and to the son, and to the Holy
Spirit
As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be
forever. Amen.
Canticle 8 (S-209): Song of Moses
All Sit
A reading from Luke 19:28-40
After telling a parable to the crowd at Jericho, Jesus
went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. When he had
come near Bethphage and Bethany, at the place
called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the
disciples, saying, "Go into the village ahead of you,
and as you enter it you will find tied there a colt that
has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If
anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' just say
this, 'The Lord needs it.'" So those who were sent
departed and found it as he had told them. As they
were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why
are you untying the colt?" They said, "The Lord needs
it." Then they brought it to Jesus; and after throwing
their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it. As he

rode along, people kept spreading their cloaks on the

road. As he was now approaching the path down
from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the
disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud
voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen,
saying,
"Blessed is the king
who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven,
and glory in the highest heaven!"
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him,
"Teacher, order your disciples to stop." He answered,
"I tell you, if these were silent, the stones would
shout out."
Officiant: The Word of The Lord
Congregation: Thanks be to God

The Apostles Creed
All:
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.

The third day he rose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Prayers

The Collect
Officiant:
Almighty and everliving God, in your tender love for the
human race you sent your Son our Savior Jesus Christ to
take upon him our nature, and to suffer death upon the cross,

giving us the example of his great humility: Mercifully grant

that we may walk in the way of his suffering, and also share
in his resurrection; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives
and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever
and ever. Amen.

this world knowledge of thy truth, and in the world to
come life everlasting.
