Building the worlds largest solar power station in China

First Solar, a U.S.-based renewable energy company, will build the worlds largest solar power
station in China. The power station is scheduled to be built in Nei Mongol by 2019 and be able
to generate electricity for three million homes.
At present, China burns coal to produce 80 percent of its electricity. The government plans that
at least 15 percent of the nations energy will come from renewable sources by 2020.
When completed, the power station will cover an area of 64 square kilometers, a little bit
smaller than Hong Kong Island.
