BATANG PINOY 2016 DanceSport Rules & Regulations

1. All entry forms and COMPLETE requirements must be submitted to the Batang Pinoy Secretariat, Philippine
Sports Commission, P. Ocampo Street, Malate Manila dates stated in the entry form. Please follow the PSC
requirements when submitting the Entry Form.
2. Age limit requirements are based on the year of birth.
Juvenile Born 2005 or later; Junior Born 2001 to 2004; Youth Born 1999 to 2000
(The age of the older partner will be the basis for the qualification for the category.)
3. All Juvenile category competitors must follow the prescribed DSCPI syllabus.
4. NEW RULE Each individual competitor shall be allowed to join a maximum of only two (2) events.
5. All competing couples who are not ready on the floor for their events will be eliminated.
6. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse any entry from any person whose status is unclear.
7. The Organizer reserves the right to change and/or cancel the program of the events without prior notice.
8. The decision of the Adjudicators is final. No communication and/or correspondence will be entertained.

10. Costume and dress regulations for both Juvenile and Junior will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. Please refer to
drawing below.
11. Due to the new age limit for BP 2016 we will allow a 15 year old to compete in the youth category as long as
the partner is 16 or 17 years old.
General guidelines for Juvenile and Junior:
a. Female dress material if (colored) only one color will allowed No combinations. Skin tone underwear
or short not allowed.
b. No decoration whatsoever will be allowed on clothing, body or hair will be allowed. If hair is long,
collect into a ponytail.
c. No make-up, accessories or jewelry.
