Adoring one's ia deity can be done in many ways, like performing a detailed ritualistic puja, chanting the mantras, performing sahasranmaarcanas or lakrcana, seeking protection by chanting a particular kavaca (armor chant), or by chanting hymns. Chanting of hymns is the most commonly seen aspect in all religions and sects. In rvidyopsana, rLalittriati is the crown-jewel of hymns addressed to rMtLalitmbik, which was revealed to rHayagrva by didampatirLalit-Kmeshvara in the yore. In turn, he revealed it to rAgastya, who beseeches him for a stotra with the inner intuition of not being satisfied, even after hearing the Lalitrahasyanmashasra. Agastya was having unrest in the mind, with a feeling that something more remains to be learnt. After three years of his continuation in this state of request, didampati appear in front of Lord Hayagrva in secret and instruct him to reveal this crown jewel of hymn. This hymn has the most secret mantra of rVidya called as Pacadai embedded in it, with twenty names per syllable of the KdividyaPacadaimah mantra. On hearing this unique hymn, Sage Agatsya's mind became tranquil and heart found the peace he sought. Though the colophon reads this as a part of Brahmdapura Lalitopkhyna, which was narrated at Kcpura by
Lord Hayagrva to Sage Agastya, it is not seen in current printed editions.
However, it is the most and often performed service as an arcana, after which, by tradition we have to perform the dhpa, dpa, naivedya and conclude the puja. The authenticity and antiquity of this hymn are seen from the fact that, rSakarcrya has written a commentaryon this. Some names are dedicated to description of Mother's physical form and HER abode to enhance devotion of aspirant (sdhaka), while some names extol the non-duality (advaita) nature of Brahman (akti) and lead him towards spiritual enquiry (Tattvavicra). The latter part the wish full-filling or grace chapter (phalaruti), is a treasure trove of secrets on rVidya/rcakraupsana revealed personally by didampati. The fifteen syllables of KdividyPacadai mantra is sorted into ivkara (Masculine aspect), aktyakara (Feminine aspect) and Mithunkara (Combined aspects); sorting of ivacakra and akticakra in rcakra and their intrinsic unity; triatibhojanrules and procedures etc are revealed here. It is proposed by Gurmadala's blessing and grace of Goddess Kmki, who is presiding deity of one of the mokapuri- Kcpura, to adorn r Kmki with a Triatimla- a garland of three hundred golden coins (10 gm each) with each name inscribed on it, during the Kumbhbhiekam scheduled in Feb 2017. This endeavor is undertaken as we find some names unique to Goddess Kmki in Triatisuch as ' kmakoinilay- residing in kmakoiwhich is the name of vimna of Goddess Kmki; kmasanjvin, kandarpajanakpgavkanrejuvenating rManmatha (Cupid) with her glance and making him victorious- one of the alternative names of this city is kmajitketra; lagnacmara hasta rradparivjit, Lakmivnievit attended by rLakmi and rSarasvati the utsavamrti (deity taken for procession in Kcpura) is flanked by r Lakmi and r Sarasvati. We can sight many more such correspondences of Trisati and KciKmki. We entreat all upsaks and devotees to avail this unique once a life time chance, to be in service ofKmkiamb and receive her grace, as was showered on Sage Agastya by HER- leading to immersing in total bliss, with a tranquil peaceful mind and total devotion to HER.
