MEME COLLATERAL

A meme is an entertaining image with a piece of text that is passed around


electronically. We are going to liven up our A.P. World History class with printed
historical memes. They should be accurate, aesthetically pleasing, AND funny.
Below is an example:

Task:
You may work alone or in a group (4 students maximum). Each group will produce:

An annotated bibliography, a meme, and a paragraph describing the central


ideas conveyed by the meme.
The project handed in on December 12 will consist of the meme on the front
with a paragraph beside it (or underneath), and the annotated bibliography
on the back (single spaced; reduced to one page).
The meme itself should be 8 x11.
The meme, annotated bibliography, and paragraph should be mounted onto
a 12x18 piece of construction paper (will be provided).

Research:
Students need to do research for the meme; an annotated bibliography is required.
At a minimum, there must be 1 book and 1 online source per member of the group
(.edu preferredsources need to be respectable. Shmoop University is NOT a
source).
