I am writing in response to your advertisement in the British Medical Journal. I am interested
in applying for the position of anesthesiologist at King Street Hospital in Cambridge. Would
you kindly send me an application form? I graduated in 1991 and earned my PhD in 1996 in
Pcs, Hungary from the University of Pcs, Faculty of Medicine. My thesis was titled
"Diastolic heart function during sedation of geriatric patients aged 65 and above." I have 10year practice as an anesthesiologist at the Baranya County Hospital and I am an editor for the
Hungarian Journal of Anesthesiology
I believe my research experience and experience in the field qualifies me for a job in your
hospital. In the field of anesthesiology, the anesthesiologist's relationship with doctors and
patients is very important. I have excellent communication skills and I believe in treating
each patient with individual care. In addition to Hungarian, I am fluent in English and French
and have studied Latin extensively. Jnos Kovcs is my co-worker and mentor and can
provide a reference for me. My CV, as well as several articles I have published in the Journal
of Anesthesiology, are inclosed in the letter.
