GHG = greenhouse gas

Pfizer has set a 2020 water withdrawal (excluding non-contact

cooling water) reduction goal of 5% compared to a 2012
baseline. Year ending 2015 Pfizer achieved an 18% reduction
in total withdrawal (excluding non-contact cooling water)
compared to 2012. Pfizer continues to evaluate this goal and
implement opportunities for water conservation.
Pfizer has set a 2020 waste disposal reduction goal of 15%
compared to a 2012 baseline. Year ending 2015 Pfizer achieved
a 4% reduction in total waste disposed compared to 2012.
The waste reycling rate in 2015 was 30%. Pfizer piloted waste
diagnostics at key locations in 2015 to identify further waste
reduction opportunities.

Hazardous waste generation increased 2% from 2014 largely

due to production increases along with the introduction of new
manufacturing processes that generated more waste.
A total of 21% of Pfizers hazardous waste was recycled in 2015.

Non-hazardous waste generation increased from 2014 largely

due to production increases.
A total of 61% of Pfizers non-hazardous waste was recycled in
2015.

Pfizer has an active Fleet Safety Program. We have identified

opportunities for improvement of the program and are currently
implementing actions to improve the program.
EHS risk at facilities of third party providers of research and
manufacturing are assessed as part of business risk management.
In 2015 the program was modified to increase focus on elevated
risk suppliers and perform in-depth reviews in key risk areas,
therefore the total number of assessments was reduced.

Settlement costs were paid to address matters where

non-compliance with EHS regulation or law was alleged. Per SEC
regulations, Pfizer reports penalties paid of $100,000 or more in
its SEC filings.
