I am atman Vedas declare. Vedas were written by God some say.

Some claim
them to be utterances or prayers of people like rishis. Now the important
question arises. Exactly why someone or even God should utter something and
what could be the reason? Well, Gods action is beyond reason or humans cannot
understand the reasons. Let it be so. But the fundamental question remains.
Irrespective of God exists or not, I exist. Why do I exist? If existence is my nature
or a quality or attribute then who am I? I am called the principle of existence.
Principles are beyond space or time or cause. Hence I need not have a body
however subtle it may be. Since intelligence came from existence, it is a product
and it has its root in existence, it can never know the root. So I am spirit. I
cannot be reached by body, actions, mental prayers, intelligent analysis etc. Is
there a way to find the root, to realize self?
The veiling of truth namely the actual character and projection of false world is a
possible explanation. Now some calls it silence. From sound the world came is
what Vedas declare. Now atman is described as silence, because it is opposed to
sound?
A thinking about absolute and Apparent
Does anything that is apparent affect absolute? No. Apparent in no way affects
absolute. Absolute remain as such while apparent appears to undergo
modifications. Does apparent really undergo any modification? If I think deeply,
even apparent really do not undergo any modification. The apparent consisting
of nature as energy also is a constant one. By the action of space and time they
appear to undergo modification. Remove space and time which are the wrong
notion of mind, then I can clearly visualize there is no change in nature also.
Nature appears to be active while in reality there is nothing called activity inside
nature.
Take any change observed in nature. For example, let us take rain. When viewed
from an individual point of view, it seems that water evaporates from earth,
forms cloud in air and returns back to earth. But from the absolute point of view,
if we consider only the isolated point of view of water, it is the same water that
existed either as river or sea or cloud. Qualitatively it is the same. Only when we
combine water to any other element like earth or air, the differences like lake,
river, sea, cloud etc appears to us. Perse water remains as water alone. This is
the same with any other primordial matter like air or earth. When these are
connected with any other element like space then they appear. Without
connecting them, if we see each and every element alone, there is constancy,
without any intrinsic change.
Let us look at space. Space appears as a constant phenomenon within which all
other elements seem to arise and subside. Now, I say I am observing space. For
observing anything it is necessary that I should be disconnected from object. To
see a pot, the immediate condition is that I should be something other than pot.
There must be tangible difference between the seer and seen. When I say Space,
what does that mean? I am different from space. I do not say I am also space. I
am quite different from space. So is the case with time. I am not space or time.

They seem to appear differently from me and I am able to perceive them, though
not directly like when I see a pot. Space and time are felt internally. For a
moment, let me remove space and time from my mind. Then what do I see? I do
not perceive anything. I do not perceive anything outside me. Nothing is present
before me. I am conscious of the fact that there exist nothing before me.
Are there energy waves before me? No. I did not perceive anything. No energy,
No waves. It is absolute stillness. No sound, no forms, no smell, no taste or no
feel. Am I breathing? Yes. I continue breathing. Except for breath, nothing seems
to be happening inside me. Why I continue breathing? What purpose is there to
breathe or not breathe? If this breath is life, why do I require this? I am unable to
stop breathing because body requires. It is not the requirement of atman.

Today 16th Oct experience

Individual Soul is witness and witness alone. It cannot do or act.
Actions are in mind and not in nature of 5 elements.
Experiences are provided by maya of Narayana. It is Narayana who does
everything but the individual soul thinks it does.
Influence of Individual is only on mind and deriving some false experience. This
is Jeevan

Stillness
of Soul

Mind alone
feels active. All
pranic
activities are
felt only in

Stillness of Nature.
Nothing Changes
including 5 gross , 5
subtle elements,

Mind has to become still. The separation of individual and cosmic

happens only in mind. There is only one mind. When it separates itself,
it feels itself to be surrounded by cosmic mind. When an activity
appears in the imagined individual mind, the cosmic resists , pushing
the individual mind to become serene and witness. The pushing of
individual mind by cosmic can be either by acceptance, denial or
showing no reaction. In all cases, the purpose is to drive individual to
stillness. Space and time are the tools that are employed for this
Today 18 October 2016
Atman as witness what it implies to me? Reminds me of the fact that I cannot do
anything on my own. As such mental images of imagined world are presented
before me as happening. Is something really happens in the outside world? The
outside world is a mirage, mental imagination of mind. The big question is whose

mind? If they happen inside my mind, why do others also feel the same way? A
rain outside cannot be my imagination. Certainly a rain happens and is felt by
thousands of others. Can this be the imagination of individual mind? If there are
many individual minds, why do all see the same scene at any given place?

Something interesting happened today 20th October 2016

Slowly I am realizing myself. At best, I can be described as a witness to the
affairs of God. When I am a witness, God acts and presents this universe.
Immediately something happens, I forget I am only a witness, start grabbing
and accumulating mind, intellect, memory, and all things of the world. In short,
I start to grow desiring each and every thing presented before me. Why should
I forget I am only a witness and go after objects or try to grab mind, ideas
etc? There are only few requirements for body. Health is important. To keep
healthy, it requires water, food, air to breathe, a shelter and something to cover
the body from heat and cold. Why should it think these will not be available?
Why do I not see the body also belonging to God and God will somehow keep it
intact? Or to put it more precisely
Body belongs to God. The mental efforts, intelligence requirement for
maintenance and upkeep of this body is being done by the mind of God. I am
only a witness, witnessing the birth, growth, decay of the body mind complex
which belongs to God. It is God who is acting.
The different scenes: What is the state of me and God when I feel I am
witness? Let me assume I am with Mr X.
Scene 1: Let me assume Mr X is also in witness mode. I am in witness mode and
I feel only God is doing everything. From my perspective I am witness, God is
breathing in me, God is breathing through Mr X, The same will be the view of Mr
X.
My view: I am witness, God is doer in me, witness of X, and doer in X.
As per Mr X: X is witness, God is doer in X, witness of I, and doer in I.
I and Mr X see God as both witness and doer in one sense or other.
Scene 2: : Let me assume Mr X is in participant mode. I am in witness mode .
My view: I am witness, God is doer in me, witness of X, and doer in X.
As per Mr X: X and I are doers, God is witness in X and Me,
World is seen by Mr X while I see God.
Scene 3: Let me assume I am ignorant and Mr X is enlightened. Then I will see
the world because I am ignorant while Me X will see God only as doer and he is
witness.
Scene 4: If both are ignorant both will see world.

In place of Mr X, let me put God because my concern is for God and not Mr X.
God is definitely enlightened. I will view me as witness while views of God will be
slightly different. He will see his nature only as acting and he is the witness.
Now if I assign the doer-ship to nature what will happen on all the 4 scenes?

When I am enlightened, I see me as witness and everything else is God. God is

already enlightened and is in permanent witness mode. Hence he will assign
doer-ship to nature or his own nature. If I also do the same thing then there will
be synchrony.
Or in other words, the witness within me is God while actions, body etc are
nature. Where do I exist?
Now, there are 2 things that are seen. One is Witness and the other Nature.
What is nature? It is observed, even though appears to be changing, in totality
there is no change as per law of conservation of energy. Then what are the
different worlds that we perceive? If we closely observe, changes in nature
seems to occur in mind. Applying the same law of conservation to mental energy
also, then in effect there is no change. Where is the world?
After thinking, it becomes clear to me. The Vedanta view of consciousness
creating virtual reality seems to be very precise.
There is one absolute consciousness described as existence, consciousness and
infinite. Now, this consciousness wanted to create the universe, animate it and at
the same time did not want itself to be carried away by the imagination of it. It
wanted to remain in pure state and at the same time wanted to experience the
unreal also. That absolute is called Narayana.
To enable this, Narayana created virtual reality in the form of multitude of living
beings. The individual self which undergoes transmigration is the virtual reality.

The I, the seer, the perceiver, the one who enjoys misery and happiness is this
virtual reality. This is the reflected consciousness, the reflection of pure
consciousness in mind. This is analogous to the motherboard in computer.
There are trillions of these virtual realities, the purported actions of one affecting
another either facilitating growth or decay. The interactions between these
virtual realities are perceived as pleasure or pain.
To educate that the individuals are only an image and not the original, a
condition called dreaming is provided. So the dreams directly indicate every day
to us that I as body mind complex is in fact only virtual reality.
All sensory perceptions, actions operating within the so called space and time
have only virtual existence and there is no reality in it.
Dreamless sleep is the condition very similar to when you put your computer to
sleep. On waking, it wakes up from the same point where it slept with all
memories intact. So the key point is the memory.
On death, the contact of mind with body is lost, like the mother board loosing
contact with monitor hard disk and key board. Body is like hard disk, key board or
monitor. Rebirth is like putting the mother board in a new set of hard disk, key
board and monitor.
Like a mother board, the transmigrating soul remembers the basic information of
how to build the communication network within body and operate the system
called body mind complex. But unlike motherboard this soul by default is born to
parents wherein it will experience the past life karma. To enable this, the
memories of experiences of past life are stored within the soul itself like RAM
memory of motherboard.
Useless information like my name or occupation or gender in my past life which
pertains only to name and forms are excluded because the memories of them
are lost in the final stages during death. They are consciously erased to take
birth as a new one. However, the experiences of aversion, desire are deeply
rooted and not erased. They are built within personality and forms part of ego or
I sense of the transmigrating soul. It becomes necessary for the I to
remember them to continue the journey ahead.
This I is the root, basic intelligence from which new minds are created when it
enters new body.
Water is intelligence, buddhi. Reflection of narayana in this is jeevan. Ego is the
solid pollution, Mind is heat, and memory is the air moving the intelligence.
