General Objectives:
At the end of two days for Educational Tour at Davao City
the institution will be able to:
Provide the opportunity to observe nurses at work in the
wards, and roles of allied health professionals.
Demonstrate patient- care in a hospital setting
Provide access the students nurse to get the better
understanding of their work.
Provide students experiential learning experiences more
meaningful and memorable
Help the students appreciate the relevance and importance
of what they learn in the classroom
Demonstrate the use of critical thinking in all aspects of their
educational and healthcare professional
Enhances the curriculum as students learn from actual
hands-on experiences , rather than by simply reading and
hearing about something
Enhances concrete skills of students such as note taking
skills, speaking skills ,writing skills, by doing such
activities(e.g. developed questions to be asked , elevate
their experiences, be able to competitive and etc.
Nurture a culture of learning and develop highly effective
healthcare professionals
Ensure the

At the end of 2 days visiting at Davao Medical Hospital students
nurses will be able to know the following:
Demonstrate patient- care in a Mental-hospital setting
Keeping patients safe

Promoting a therapeutic, stimulating environment..


Giving medication in the correct way, in a way that meets
guidelines and rules.
Liase with other professionals like doctors to ensure the best
possible outcome for patients.
Have a person-centred approach and ensure patients have
1:1 time with nursing staff to talk and express their feelings
and concerns

2.) Oncology Center


( Davao Doctors Hospital )
Address: San Pedro street.Poblacion
District.,Davao City
Objectives:
At the end of 2 days visiting at Davao Doctors l Hospital students
nurses will be able to know the following:
Interview and examine a variety of patients representing the
most common malignancies
Review current oncology treatment protocols available to
each patient
Decide on appropriate, cost-effective diagnostic tests and
useful consultations
Plan suitable palliative care for patients requiring pain
control and other supportive measures
Discuss the natural history of common malignancies
Learn the appropriate diagnostic evaluation
Learn the management of common cancers

3.) Emergency Response Center


(Davao City Central 911)

At the end of 2 days visiting at Davao City Central 911 students
nurses will be able to know the following:

911 caters to emergency medical services


Serves to mitigate or avoid further aggravating the
situations and minimize the loss of lives and
properties
Has simplified the emergency process by integrating
all the governments emergency response resources
(ambulance, rescue technicians, firefighters, K-9, and
the police) into one
