ADVERTISEMENT IN BUSINESS
(Scriptural Perspectives)

This article is design to encourage young business owners in large, medium or small
scale business.I strongly believe that after you must have read this article, you will
learn not to be over spiritual about the scripture but learn to understand that the
beauty of the gospel is simply its application to our daily lives. This is what produces
result. Faith is simply doing the word.
..That thou mayest observe to do all that is written therein for then thou shalt
make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8B),
(James 1:25).

Advertisement.

advertise means to publicize a product or

services. To simplify, it means to tell someone or a numbers of persons about your
business, product or services. We are all Gods product and Hes our producer and
marketer. We have been designed, furnished, and ready for exhibition. This tells you
that God Himself is a business man who believes in investment to earn profits.
(Matthew 2514-17) God is still in the business of advertising people. Mostly those
who avail themselves as vessels unto honour.
TO

Now there was a day that the sons of God came to present themselves before the
Lord, and Satan came also among them And the Lord said unto Satan where comest
thou? Then Satan answered the lord and said from going To and Fro in the earth,
and walking up and down in it.
Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a
perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God eschewed evil? (Job 16-8)kjv
From the passage just read, this talks about the season when Gods furnished works
came to the international trade Centre as exhibition to show themselves but job
was an outstanding product whos lifestyle was of an enviable design. God Himself
was the one who went on to announce Job. He still does it today and will continues
to do same to as many who believe. He will announce you and your business.
And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and the judgement as the
noonday. (Psalm 376)
Arise and shine for thy light is come and the glory of Lord is risen upon thee
For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people
But the lord shall arise upon thee, and the glory shall be seen upon thee

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light and Kings to the brightness of thy rising
(Isaiah 601-3

When God desires to promote a man, he programs the environment and conditions
time to play to his advantage. To us it appears like a coincidence, but with God, its
no coinciden6ce. The cluster of insects around the electric lamp at night explains
how the glory of God on a mans life attracts men to him. According to the above
passage; Isaiah 60:2, God had to cause darkness to have a covering on the earth so
that the only available light (glory can be seen). The strength of your touch light can
only be better seen in tick darkness. I pray that may God orchestrate time and
chance to your favour in Jesus name, amen.

Please let your glory radiate in my life and business, projecting my fame throughout
the state.

You are created to express Gods glory, your life is supposed to be a testimony that
radiates the dividends of the gospel. God is looking for people to take as finished
works to exhibition at the world trade Centre. He is looking for people to Show
before men and powers in higher place.
But ye are chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people.
That ye should show forth the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His
marvelous light (1Peter 29) KJV
From the above passage, the main essence of making you a chosen generation,
royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a peculiar people is that ye should SHOW Forth
the praises of him who has called us out of poverty, ignorance, hunger etc. into his
marvelous light. Therefore you are a masterpiece ready to be celebrated. In that
Isaiah 602B the bible says and His glory shall be seen upon thee. Gods glory
upon your life and upon your business makes you a public figure in a very short

time such that what ever line of business you lunch into, prospers by mere
obedience to principles.
He shall be a tree planted by the rivers of water that
bringeth his fruit in it season; his leaf also shall not whiter;
And whatsoever he does shall prosper (Psalm 1:3) KJV
When you understand this principle, there are certain prayers you will not struggle
to pray because it will no longer be necessary. You will only confess it in faith and
act on it.

Whatever my hand does shall prosper,

Therefore I am successful in this business in
Jesus name, amen. ( psalm 1:3)

The gospel of Jesus Christ is the business of salvation and God is still looking for
marketers. (Matthew ;9:37) it might interest you to know that the blessing of God
upon the life of a believer is another form of evangelism. This blessing on your life
attracts both the believers and mostly the unbelievers to you according to (Psalm
60:3). Now tell me, what would he not do to save souls.
In the book of Act 1:8, I quote
But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be
witness unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria and unto the
uttermost part of the earth (Act 1:8)KJV
This can be paraphrased as; but you shall receive Gods divine empowerment
through his spirit and after this has happen, you shall be my witness,
representative, ambassadors, evidence, proves, examples exhibitions etc. To your
immediate neighborhood and then to the uttermost parts of the earth. In other
word, I will make you a global picture of the gospel of Christ.
Ye are epistle written in our heart, known and read all men (2Corith
3:2)Kjv
You are the scripture which speaks of the gospel written in our consciousness,
acquainted, read, pictured, viewed, analyzed, and observed by everyone. People
want to see the dividend of the gospel written in your life, both in holiness and in
the overflowing blessing of the most High God.

According to 2 Corinthians :6A, who had made us able ministers of the new
testament i.e. God has made us able custodians, carried picture, ambassadors,
witness, evidences exhibitions and samples of the new covenant in the gospel of
Christ.
The gospel of Christ can be preached through so many means.

Through holiness, the word of God, our gifts and talents, healings signs of
wonder our state of wellbeing and even through Gods overflowing blessings upon
our life. Therefore start conditioning your heart to be used by him.

ADVERTISING YOUR BUSINESS

One of the most common business strategy known to everyone is
advertisement. Both in large scale and in small scale businesses, even the old
women in the village are exposed to this concept. They take up their best farm
products as samples to attract customers patronage.

What really do we advertise in Businesses?

Among a large number of them, I will mention but a few.

You advertise yourself (personality).

You advertise your product/services.

You advertise your technical-know-how/business expertise

Advertising Yourself
Like I said earlier, the gospel is the business of salvation, and Jesus planted
marketers one of them was Paul.
For I speak to you Gentiles,
In as much as I am the apostle of the Gentile, I magnify mine office (Romans 11:1).
In business, these is something popularly known as packaging. This does not only
apply to goods but also to business owners
Paul saw and understood that the best way to market the gospel was to magnify
(package) his office i.e. to be a physical reflection of the gospel he was preaching to
provoke others to emulation.
There is a statement believed to be very true i.e. you dont get a second chance to
create your first impression.

If you want to preach to people about the benefits of your business products and
services, then let your physical appearance paint a good portrait of it.

Advertising your Product/Services

But I have greater witness than that of John; for the works which the father
hath gives me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the
further hath sent me John 4:6.
Do you really think that if Jesus had not demonstrated at least one miracle
that even his disciples would have believed in him?
This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth
his glory; and his disciples believed on him John 2:11.
Jesus was advertising what I can consider to be his product and services
which is the gospel and its dividends in John 4:7 16, when Jesus went out for
marketing, he saw a client; a Samaritan woman on his way to Galilee, he humbly
stopped by and started marketing his product and services from verse number Ten.
In verse number twelve she asked Jesus of what product or services he had better
than pre-existing ones i.e. why should I subscribe to yours? And at the end of the
day the success he gained on one customer, client or subscriber generated more
interested participants according to verse number 28.
The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and south
to the men. Come, see, a man which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the
Christ; then they went out of the city, and came unto him (John 4:28 30) kjv
God can announce you even by just one person. You need diligence and honesty
Lets pause and pray
Father!

Bring business destiny helpers my way.

Let them announce me even in areas I have never been to in Jesus name
Amen, (John 4:28 -0).

Teach me how to market my goods and services.

Put the right words in my mouth Isaiah 50:4

Amen! Amen! Amen! Believe that your prayers are answered and you will begin to
see results.
Please, please, please handle your business as one who has seen a future in
it, dont be causal, dont be lackadaisical, and dont be lazy.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no
work, no device, nor knowledge nor wisdom, in the grave whither then goest
Ecclesiastes 9:10.

When advertising your product and your products and service, they are two
important factors that you must point out vividly which are its.
Durability and potency
A friend of mine who owns a laundry shop, was introduced to a client who needed to
have a pair of suit washed and ironed. According this friend, he had never thought
of doing anything so different from usual but to apply diligence in his work.
Surprisingly two days after delivering those cloths, he was called back by the same
client to come and pick up fifty more suit for washing. Most people would want to
see how good you are before you can earn their trust.
Advertising your Business Experience/Technical Know-how
Selling a product you dont really understand is like preaching the gospel of
the Jesus you have not known or accepted to sinners. In such cases, what happen to
the sevens sons of one Sceva in Acts 19:1-16, will definitely happen to you. In
business terms, your customers of which you are trying to market the product to,
may get you arrested, believing that you are a 419 ambassador (Nigerian Nick
name for fraud stars) dont tell people you make cloths and after you have been
contracted, you take those cloths to those who do the actual business in
anticipation for some stipends Without any knowledge of how to pass a tread
through the eye of a sawing needle.
Try to be good at what you do or you try doing what you are good at.
Today, we discover that many health establishment with new products to be sold,
will desire marketers, these marketers do not necessarily need to be doctors,
pharmacist or nurses. This is simply because before they are sent into the market,
they will be given an orientation seminar on how these drugs work before setting in
to sell them. This shows that knowledge is an essential commodity on business.
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24:4
You need to have a good knowledge of what you do if you want to prosper.
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen
with our eyes, which we looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of
life; for the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and sheen,
unto you that eternal life, which was with the father, and was manifested unto us;
that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have
fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the father, and with his son Jesus
Christ (1 John 1-)
It is good to present to people what you have a personal conviction about.
Your conviction makes you speak with boldness, it makes you speak as a
resource person.
Marketing language
The marketing language of something is simply its unique quality that:
-

makes it outstanding in the midst of competitors

capture the interest of its target market.

It is that quality that makes your product or services to be international, accepted

The more the acceptance the wider the range. Dont plan to be a local champion
prepare to go wise.
The two factors mentioned are the most effective and most considered reason why
some cant ready go far.
Who are your competitors? And what is your target market?
In the book of Act 2 4 8 when the Holy Ghost came on them, they all became
unique in the language the spoke, each of them had their own language to speak,
this was why they still had customers individually to listen to them simply because
they never tried to copy from someone else. They were situated at the international
trade market they had devout men out of every nation under heaven but each of
them spoke their own unique language.
Lets try to be unique, lets try to be original, lets strife for excellence.
Secondly, who is your target market? Is it your village? Then you may never
go beyond your village, is of your country? Then, you will never go beyond your
country. But if you have a global picture of your target market, then you are a super
star.
You must begin to see into the glory of which you desire to become.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass glory of the Lord, we changed
into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the spirit of the Lord. (2
Corinthians 3:17)
And he brought him forth abroad, and said, look now toward heaven, and tell the
stars of thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, so shall thy seed be.
(Genesis 15:5)
Lets pray ..
Father!
Give to me a good market language that will make me outstanding and gain an
international acceptance.
Father!
Open my eyes to see opportunities beyond my mediate environment.
- I refuse to be a local champion in Jesus name Amen.

What then is Knowledge?

Knowledge is defined as an information or awareness gained through
experience or education. The accumulation of a vast and deep level of knowledge
promotes our personality. Knowledge is a justifier. What you know defines who you
are.
And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know and Paul I know; but who are
you? (Act 19:15).

These men lacked the knowledge of who Jesus was, so therefore their personality
was not identified with him. They thought they could exercise power without
knowledge.
Knowledge should not be stereotyped
Knowledge is deep, complex and manifold in its nature for God is manifold in
wisdom (Psalm 104:24) so therefore you cannot access all of Gods fullness if you
dont seek, ask, demand, enquire, search or study to know him in all ramification.
Till we all come to the Unity of faith and of the knowledge of the son of God
unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the status of the fullness of Christ
Ephesians 4:13
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all
knowledge; and though I have all faith, so, that I could remove mountains, and have
not charity, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2.
To paraphrase this passage, I can say, that though I have these categories of
knowledge, such as
-

Prophetic knowledge

Devine/spiritual

Circular knowledge

Which in turn produce faith, due to absence of love and passion, I still remain a
nobody
In other words, if you have love, then any gained knowledge can take you were ever
you want to be and whoever you aspire to be. Therefore through knowledge you
gain a personality before people.
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings;
He shall not stand before men. (Proverbs 22:29)
Studying is another form of diligence. The more you invest in seeking to know, the
more you discover. This sets you a part for recognition.
This means that the more your acquire knowledge, the more of if you
become.
You become more of what the word of God talks about when you study to
more of what it is all about.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being
not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his dead
(James 1:25)
The perfect law of liberty also has a work to be performed.
that thou mayest observe to do all that is written therein. (Joshua 1:8).
The rate of unemployment today in Nigeria is not primarily because people are lazy
but rather because we went to school, gathered some knowledge but we were
never taught why we needed them. This is when the application of it comes into

play. 3x + x = 4x can never generate revenue if not properly applied to solve a

particular need in the society.
Knowledge is only an asset if those who possess them can

Apply them

Brand them

And market them

Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers
to fight; Psalm 144:1
David was successfully in his business of making war and conquering cities because
he was endowed with much knowledge on how handle his tools. May God expose us
to the level and dimension of knowledge needed for our success in Jesus name.
