Is Microdermabrasion safe?
Yes. Microdermabrasion is non-invasive. The procedure only removes the outermost layer of dead
skin cells to reveal the fresher, younger cells beneath. Regardless of your skin's condition, fine lines
and age spots may be erased and acne scars and stretch marks will become less obvious.

Treatments
Microdermabrasion treatments are not aggressive; they are slow and progressive. Medical-quality
microdermabrasion gently "abrades" skin with aluminum oxide crystals applied by Dr. Hopping or a
trained aesthetician. It works by exfoliation of the cells from the top layer of the skin reducing the
effects of aging, scars and blemishes. It also stimulates the skin to increase collagen production for
overall improved skin tone and clarity. Treatments are applied throught a course of weekly or biweekly sessions ranging from 2 to 12 weeks.
Recover
Microdermabrasion takes less time than other more invasive procedures. There is no recovery period,
no discomfort and you can resume normal activities immediately.
E pected Results
Immediately! After a microderabrasion treatment, your skin has a fresh, pink glow. Improvement
continues throughout your treatment program. This is a lunchtime procedure and most patients
return to their office, home and activities immediately. Touch-up treatments are recommended to
help maintain your results.
Maintaining the Results
Maintaining healthy looking skin is a daily task. Always wear SPF of at least 15 to protect your skin
from the sun's harmful rays. Keep your skin moist and fresh with daily cleansing and moisturizing using
specially formulated skin care products. Ask your skin care specialist about recommendations for your
skin care products.
