On Friday, June 17, Dallas designer, Prashi Shah, presented her PRASHE 2016 Ready-to-Wear and Couture
Collections at One Arts Plaza in the Dallas Arts District. The spectacular Jan StrimpleProduction was
brought to life through the combination of dance, lively garments, music and lights. The plaza hosted close to
400 attendees with ticket sales benefitting the Dallas Black Dance Theatre. As guests waited for the show to
begin they enjoyed complimentary mule cocktails featuring Stoli Gluten Free Premium Vodka, champagne
courtesy of Republic National Distributing Company and mineral water provided by TopoChico.
The show began with a performance by the Dallas Black Dance Theatre followed by the PRASHE Ready-toWear collection. The models made their way around the One Arts fountain while flaunting the beautifully
crafted PRASHE collection. Toni&Guy provided hair and makeup for the models. Following Prashis couture
evening wear, members from the Dallas Black Dance Theatre performed a choreographed piece using fabrics
from the PRASHE collection and incorporated movements inspired by her designs. The show came to an end
with an appearance from Real Housewives of Dallas cast member, LeeAnne Locken, strutting the runway in
a breathtaking crimson gown. Preceding the event, guests were invited to attend an after party at Proof +
Pantry, a restaurant bar featuring new American cuisine.
