While IT major HCL Tech has rewarded 130 top performing employees with a
Mercedes or an all-expenses-paid holiday abroad as a token of appreciation for
their contribution to the company, Infosys has gifted 30,000 of its top staff with
iPhone 6s to stem attrition.

The gift was accompanied by a mail from Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, where he
addressed the employees as friends. The mail, reports Times of India, read
achieving what Infosys had "took your boundless energy and extraordinary
effort". "And I believe it's not enough that we simply recognize it, we must

celebrate it. That's why I am so happy that we are presenting you with a Holiday
Bonus - the cool new Apple iPhone 6. A gift that'll always remind you and your
teammates of the exceptional value you delivered for Infosys," he said.

stakeholders and influences day-to-day actions. As a responsible corporate citizen, we

Infosys Foundation: In 1996, the Infosys Foundation was established to support the
underprivileged sections of the society. We contribute 1 percent of our profit after tax to the
Foundation for its campaign to improve the welfare of people in rural areas of India.
Infosys Science Foundation: The Foundation instituted the Infosys Prize, an annual award, to
honor outstanding achievements of researchers and scientists across six categories
engineering and computer science, humanities, life sciences, mathematical sciences, physical
sciences and social sciences, each carrying a prize of INR 50 lakh.
Campus Connect: Campus Connect is an industry-academia partnership program that raises
the employability of engineering students in India by helping align the needs of institutions,
faculty and students with those of the IT industry. Another initiative from Infosys that bridges the
gap between education and employability is Project Genesis. This program assists
academicians to handle student queries about careers in the BPO industry. In fiscal 2012, the
program enabled 16,762 students by training 365 academicians from 138 institutes.
Spark Program: Our Spark Rural Reach Program has helped more than 266,074 children from
classes V to VII to pursue studies in science and math, basics of computers and related
subjects. Catch Them Young is a program that has helped expose the IT world to more than
4,638 students through summer vacation workshops at our campuses in India. Spark GURU is
an initiative that helps teachers from rural areas enhance their teaching skills with respect to
current industry needs.
Sustainability: We look at sustainability as an opportunity to apply our core strengths for social
good and to create innovative solutions. Our sustainability agenda is underpinned by three
pillars. Social contract to nurture stakeholder trust and ensure business continuity; resource
intensity to find transformational ways to achieve better outcomes using fewer resources; and
green innovation to help our clients and us use sustainability as a catalyst for differentiation
and growth.
We have saved over 290 million units of electricity in four years through a focused effort on
efficiency strategies from retrofits to new integrated design approaches. In addition, we are
