21 January 2017
President Barrack Obama (Revised)
In 2017, January 20th will go down as one of the most tragic days in all of Americas
history, namely because it is President Obamas last day as president. Throughout both of his
terms, he has accomplished more than perhaps more than any president before him. For example,
he was the first black president, he fully supported the LGBT movement, and he is truly
concerned about the well-being of this country.
First of all, President Obama helped combat discrimination in the United States. He did
this with gays, African-Americans, trans-genders, etc. He is one of the first presidents to openly
support same-sex marriage and was the first to have it legalized nation-wide. He is also the first
president to deal with trans-gender individuals and help them become accepted in the United
States.
Furthermore, he is fully concerned about the well-being of this country. This can be
shown in how he dealt with the terrorist attack of 9/11. He hunted down Osama Bin-Laden and
had him executed by Seal Team 6. Although this was a tough choice to make because Osama was
in Pakistan, Obama made the right decision so that we citizens can live peacefully back at home.
Finally, President Obama is a people person. He actively listens to what both parties are
saying and makes the decision that is best for the country. Along with being an active listener is
his comedy. From having Michael Keegan perform at the White House dinner to dropping the

mic at the end of one of his final speeches, President Obama has left his mark on the hearts and
funny bones of citizens all across the nation.
In conclusion, President Obama will go down as one of the best presidents to ever grace
the United States. First of all, he combated discrimination in the United States. Secondly, he is
concerned with the well-being of the U.S. and finally, he is a people person. Because of these
reasons, President Obama will be truly missed this year.
