Documentation

data on the link
Question: How does the U.N. define short term and long term migrants?
Question: What challenges exist when comparing data across countries?
Question: What are some of the different ways in which countries measure
migration?
7. Read C The description of the data set seems confusing!
They suck!
8. This is my interpretation the first worksheet (highlighted in green at the
bottom of the page) tells you a world regional breakdown of where people are
migrating to from the country you chose (emigrants) and people who are
coming into the country (immigrants)
9. The second worksheet is divided up in a similar fashion with emigrants and
immigrants but there is also information on the country level.
10.Some of the countries dont have data you should scroll to the right until
you see data appear.
Question: Please pick a recent year that has robust data (a lot of data) what year
did you pick?
For your country please answer the following questions.
Question: Which country and region is sending the most immigrants to your
country?

Question: Where are most of the people moving to from your country? (Look
at both the region and the country)
Question: Please make two graphs, one for the top four countries of
emigration and immigration
I chose Latvia

After you sort by a recent year please copy and paste the appropriate
columns next to each other in this case immigrant/emigrant and country
It should look something like this

Divide up the emigrants and immigrants and take out the total and unknown
My Latvia table looks like this. If you want to you can divide each value by the
total for a percentage.

You should have two charts you should highlight the immigration and
emigration data separately and create one chart for each. (While the data is
highlighted click on insert and find a graph/chart of your choice)
The vertical bar works pretty good
