Andrew Wiggins scored 14 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter and drained the game-winning jumper as time expired
in the Wolves' 112-111 victory over Phoenix on Tuesday night at Talking Stick Resort Arena. Gorgui Dieng capped a
14-5 start for Minnesota but the Suns responded with 12 unanswered points and grabbed their largest lead when T.J.
Warren made it 34-23 early in the second period. Shabazz Muhammad keyed a rally with 12 points in the quarter, the
last a 3-pointer that put Minnesota up 59-56 at halftime, and Ricky Rubio topped off a 17-6 start to the third that
extended the margin to 14. Trailing 87-79 entering the fourth period, Phoenix used three straight Devin Booker
jumpers to inch ahead 93-92 at the 7:00 mark. Wiggins answered by scoring 11 of the Wolves' next 15 points,
including a tie-breaking 3-pointer with 2:30 left. Phoenix drew even on Eric Bledsoe's three-point play and went ahead
111-110 on a pair of P.J. Tucker free throws, setting the stage for Wiggins' buzzer-beater. Towns had 18 points and
10 rebounds for Minnesota while Booker's 26 points led the Suns and Tyson Chandler added 22 with 17 boards.

Previous Game:
Karl-Anthony Towns collected 32 points, including the tie-breaking jumper with 42.5 seconds remaining, and the
Timberwolves outscored Denver 20-8 over the final 6:00 to pull out a 111-108 win on Sunday night at Target Center.
The Nuggets led 29-28 after one quarter and ran off 14 unanswered points to jump ahead 50-42 midway through the
second. However, Shabazz Muhammad's steal and dunk capped an 11-0 finish to the half that put the Wolves in front
62-58, a lead they held until consecutive Wilson Chandler jumpers drew Denver level late in the third period. Following
Tyus Jones' go-ahead trey early in the fourth, the Nuggets held Minnesota without a basket for over five minutes and
built their largest lead when Darrell Arthur made it 100-91 at the 6:06 mark. Andrew Wiggins drilled a 3-pointer to put
the Wolves on top 106-104 with 1:53 left but was answered by Nikola Joki to tie it 17 seconds later. Towns then gave
Minnesota lead to stay and Jameer Nelson misfired on an attempt to force overtime in the closing moments. Wiggins
had 24 points and Muhammad added 20 for Minnesota while Gary Harris led the Nuggets with 22 points.

BEAT THE CLOCK: Andrew Wiggins' game-winning jumper as time expired on Tuesday at Phoenix marked the 27th time in franchise
history that the Timberwolves have won a game by scoring the deciding points with less than one second to play. It's also the first time
in nearly a decade (Kevin Garnett vs. Portland, Mar. 25, 2007) that a last-second field goal changed a Minnesota loss to a win:

WIDESPREAD PRECOCITY: Zach LaVine scored a career-best 40 points Dec. 23 vs. Sacramento, becoming the third Timberwolves
player to tally 40+ this season and 15th all-time. Minnesota is the eighth team in the past 20 years to have three different players score
40+ points in a game in the same season and the first in NBA history to have three, all age 22 or younger, accomplish that feat:

WOLF TRACKS: Minnesota notched its third straight victory with Tuesday's buzzer-beating 112-111 decision at Phoenix, completing a
sweep of the three-game season set The Wolves are 6-2 in their last eight overall and have pulled to within 2.5 games of 8th-place
Denver in the West Minnesota extended its Target Center winning streak to four with Sunday's 111-108 triumph over Denver, beating
the Nuggets for the first time at home in three years The Wolves completed a 1-2 road trip by erasing a 12-point, 3rd-period deficit to
edge the L.A. Clippers, 104-101, on Jan. 19 That win was Minnesota's first away from Target Center since beating Atlanta 92-84 on
Dec. 21, halting a six-game skid The trip began with a 98-87 setback Jan. 15 in Dallas and continued with a 122-114 defeat Jan. 17
at San Antonio; the Dallas loss halted a three-game winning streak and avenged Minnesota's 101-92 victory six nights earlier at Target
Center The Wolves concluded a 3-1 homestand by rallying past Oklahoma City 96-86 on Jan. 13; Minnesota opened the homestand
with a 94-92 loss to Utah on Jan. 7, before reeling off wins vs. Dallas, Houston (119-105 on Jan. 11) and Oklahoma City It was the
Wolves' first three-game winning streak of 2016-17 and tied their longest single-season run since putting together four in a row from
Dec. 7-15, 2012 The Jan. 11 win over Houston ended an eight-game series drought The Wolves posted their first win of 2017 with
the Jan. 9 verdict vs. Dallas, ending a four-game skid; Utah scored the game's final 11 points to pull out the 94-92 win on Jan. 7
Overall, Minnesota is 11-10 in its last 21 contests (beginning with the Dec. 13 victory at Chicago), following a 6-18 start to the season
MARGINAL NOTES: Tuesday's 112-111 win at Phoenix was the Wolves' third in as many outings in games decided by four points or
fewer; they beat Denver 111-108 on Sunday, two nights after edging the L.A. Clippers 104-101 to halt an 0-10 start to the season in
that category It's the first time Minnesota has ever won three consecutive games, all by three points or fewer, and the second time it's
happened in the NBA this season (Memphis, Dec. 1-3-5); the last time any team won four straight one-possession games was Detroit in
2003-04 (Jan. 28-Feb. 2) A year ago, Minnesota finished 9-11 in games decided by four point or fewer; they're 56-112 (.333) in the
past decade Sacramento halted Minnesota's first two-game winning streak of the year with the 109-105 win on Dec. 23; the Wolves
have lost a league-high 12 games in which they'd held a 4th-quarter lead Minnesota ended its seven-game home losing streak with a
115-108 win over Phoenix on Dec. 19; they fell to Boston, Utah, New York, San Antonio, Detroit, Golden State and Houston
THE BIG 80s: Minnesota's 87-point effort Jan. 15 at Dallas was its 2nd-lowest total of the season and fifth double-digit showing in 12
January starts However, the Wolves have bounced back to crack the Century Mark in each of their past four starts; they're averaging
105.5 ppg (on 50.2% shooting) while winning six of their last eight games Minnesota shot a season-best 56.3% vs. Dallas on Jan. 9,
eclipsing their 55.8% showing in the Dec. 30 win vs. Milwaukee; they improve to 86-13 all-time when shooting 55% or better The
Wolves have topped 50% on 11 occasions this year, most recently a 52.4% effort in Tuesday's victory at Phoenix Minnesota went 15for-31 from beyond the arc Dec. 26 vs. Atlanta, the fifth time in franchise history they've hit 15+ threes (second this year) and one of 11
times this season they've made 10+ Minnesota pumped in a season-high 125 points Nov. 13 vs. the L.A. Lakers; they were limited to
71 points Nov. 19 at Memphis, their low since a 93-70 home loss to Cleveland on Dec. 17, 2008 The Wolves are 11th in FG accuracy
(46.1%), 19th in scoring (103.5 ppg), 21st in three-point accuracy (35.0%) and 13th in Offensive Rating (106.3)
AT THE OTHER END: Denver finished at 51.2% on Sunday, the 16th time this season Minnesota has given up 50%+ (seventh in the
last 17) The Wolves limited Oklahoma City to 38.8% on Jan. 13, their fifth sub-40% defensive effort of the year The Thunder's 86
points represent Minnesota's fifth sub-90 defensive outing this year (5-0); the Wolves have kept their opponent below 100 in eight of
their last 15 (allowing 100.7 ppg) Minnesota's single-game defensive bests this year came in the 116-80 victory vs. Memphis on Nov.
1, a contest in which the Grizzlies shot 36.0% Washington hit 58.2% on Jan. 6, the top percentage allowed by the Wolves since San
Antonio shot 58.3% on Mar. 15, 2015; Minnesota has never won when permitting 57%+ (0-79) The Wizards went 12-for-22 (54.5%)
from long range on Jan. 6, the top percentage vs. Minnesota this year; Houston hit 17-for-51 on Dec. 17, the most three-point attempts
ever by a Wolves opponent Minnesota ranks 27th in defensive FG percentage (46.9%) and 23rd in Defensive Rating (107.5)
THE BOARD REPORT: The Wolves outrebounded Houston 49-32 on Jan. 11, their second straight double-digit margin and sixth of the
year; they've held the board edge in 16 of the past 22 contests (+5.0 rpg in that span, 43.6-38.6) Minnesota was also +17 vs. Dallas
on Jan. 9; the Mavericks' 25 rebounds are the fewest by an opponent at Target Center since Houston collected 23 on Feb. 21, 1996
Golden State outrebounded Minnesota 45-32 on Nov. 26, the Wolves' largest deficit of the year (second by 10+) The Wolves piled up
a season-best 50-32 margin Nov. 1 vs. Memphis; they rank 5th in the NBA in second-chance scoring (14.3 ppg) as well as 3rd in both
total rebound pct (.522) and offensive rebound pct (.274) Minnesota was outboarded by 10+ on 11 occasions a year ago; over the
past decade, the Wolves are 12-127 when being outrebounded by double figures (77-49 with a margin of +10 or better)
SCHEDULE NOTES: Indiana is one of three opponents (Cleveland, Miami) the Wolves have yet to face this season; they'll visit the
Fieldhouse on Mar. 28 Tuesday's win at Phoenix wrapped up an 18-day stretch of nine in a row vs. Western Conference rivals for the
Wolves; starting tonight, they'll play five in a row (and nine of their next 11) against Eastern Conference foes Sunday's win vs. Denver
opened a nine-day stretch that sees Minnesota end January with four of its final five against sub-.500 teams The Wolves concluded a
three-game Western swing Jan. 19 at the Clippers, their longest trip since November; beginning tonight, nine of their next 11 (through
Feb. 14 vs. Cleveland) will be played at Target Center The Jan. 7 loss to Utah finished the seventh of 14 sets of back-to-back outings
for the Wolves; they're 1-6 on the front end thus far but 4-3 on the tail end of back-to-backs (having gone 6-8 and 2-12, respectively, in
2015-16) The OT victory Dec. 3 at Charlotte completed a stretch of 13 games in 22 days that included three back-to-back sets

YOUTH IS SERVED: Entering 2015-16, 31 players in NBA history averaged at least 15.0 ppg in their age-19 or age-20 seasons while
qualifying for the league's scoring leaderboard. The Wolves became just the second team ever to feature two such players in the same
season Andrew Wiggins (20.7 ppg) and Karl-Anthony Towns (18.3 ppg) joining the 2008-09 Oklahoma City Thunder (Kevin Durant,
Russell Westbrook). Wiggins joined Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James as the only players to accomplish that
feat in both their age-19 and age-20 seasons. The top sub-age-21 contributions to teams in NBA annals, sorted by points per game:

KAT'S CORNER:
TOWNS EARNS ROOKIE HONOR: On May 16, Wolves center Karl-Anthony Towns was named the recipient of the Eddie Gottlieb
Trophy as the 2015-16 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year, becoming just the fifth unanimous winner of the award since 1984 and joining
teammate Andrew Wiggins (the 2014-15 honoree) to make Minnesota the first team with back-to-back winners since Buffalo's Bob
McAdoo and Ernie DiGregorio in 1972-73 and 1973-74. Towns received all 130 first-place votes and 650 total points (5-3-1 format)
from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the U.S. and Canada, and was the only rookie to be listed on each ballot.

WOLF TRACKS: Minnesota finished 2015-16 with a 29-53 record, a 13-game improvement from 2014-15, when the Wolves won a
league-low 16 games It was the 3rd-largest increase in the NBA last season behind Charlotte (+15) and New York (+15), as well as
the 3rd-best year-over-year bump in franchise history (+25 in 1999-2000, +14 in 1996-97) The final record marks the fifth time in six
seasons Minnesota has improved on its previous year's victory total The Wolves have now missed the postseason in 12 straight
years, after advancing to the playoffs every season from 1996-97 through 2003-04 (eight) The current absence is the longest active
postseason drought Sacramento (10) and Phoenix (six) are next on that list and equals the 2nd-longest in NBA history behind the
Clippers franchise's 15-year siesta from 1976-77 through 1990-91 while drifting from Buffalo to San Diego to Los Angeles Minnesota
opened the season by splitting its first 16 games (through Nov. 27) before dropping 26 of its next 34 to tumble to 14-36 However, the
Wolves recovered to put together a 15-17 record over their final 32 games (beginning Feb. 3), highlighted by a three-game West Coast
sweep in April that featured wins at playoff-bound Golden State (124-117 on Apr. 5) and Portland (106-105 on Apr. 9) Minnesota
finished 15-26 away from Target Center, the only team in the NBA last season to win more games on the road than at home
SCHEDULE NOTES: The Wolves won four of seven April starts, their first winning final month since going 6-4 in 2005 highlighted by
rallying from 17 points back to defeat Golden State, 124-117 in OT, on Apr. 5 at Oracle Arena Over its final 35 games, Minnesota
went 8-9 vs. teams with winning records but 7-11 vs. sub-.500 opponents The Apr. 7 win at Sacramento hiked the Wolves' record to
10-8 vs. Pacific Division opponents, the first time they've ended above .500 vs. the Pacific since 2004-05 (also 10-8) The Mar. 26 loss
to Utah completed the final of 14 back-to-back sets for Minnesota; they finished 6-8 in the first and 2-12 in the second game of back-tobacks The Wolves erased last-minute deficits in the 4th quarter and both OTs to edge Washington, 132-129, on Mar. 25 at the
Verizon CenterThat win came in Minnesota's final game vs. an Eastern Conference opponent for the season; they went 11-19 vs. the
East (9-21 last year, 17-13 in 2013-14) Coupled with the 113-104 triumph vs. Sacramento on Mar. 23, it was the first time Minnesota
had enjoyed a winning streak since Feb. 3-6 (at L.A. Clippers, vs. Chicago) The Mar. 7 defeat at Charlotte capped a run in which the
Wolves played seven of nine vs. Eastern teams; it also concluded the second and final four-games-in-five-nights grind (Nov. 9-13)
Dallas routed the Wolves 128-101 loss on Feb. 28; the 27-point spread represented Minnesota's biggest loss in 2015-16
