At the end of the lesson, 75% of the students should be able to
a. identify the go, grow, and glow foods using pictures;
b. give the importance of go, grow, and glow foods and good eating
habits; and
c. classify pictures of food as go, grow, and glow foods.

IV. APPLICATION

a. Post the My Plate Chart and let some students to put in their favourite
foods and let the
class classify them as go,grow or glow.
b. Group work: The class will be divided into three. Each group will be given
pictures of food.
The group will help each other to classify the foods as go, grow
or glow and show in front of the class.
V. GENERALIZATION
Food Groups
Energy-giving Food (GO) - Help you dance,run,jump, and play all day. They
give you the energy to carry out all your activities at home.
Energy-giving foods contain the nutrient carbohydrates and fats.
Examples are grains like rice and corn. Cheese and are rich in fats
Body-building Food (GROW)- help you grow strong. They are rich in protein.
Protein helps repair wounds and repair worn-out parts of your bodies, like
your dead skin cells. Examples are milk,meat and beans.
Body-regulating food (GLOW)- They are rich in vitamins and minerals. They
help you have beautiful skin,shinny hair, and clear vision. They also help you
feel good and fight illnesses. Examples are fruits and vegetables.
VI. EVALUATION
Answer the worksheet provided.
VII. ASSIGNMENT
In your assignment notebook list the foods that you eat for the entire day
and
