Quick picks to add some spice to your week
When Hersheypark Amphitheatres live entertainment is a

band called the Screaming Mummies, you know it must be
Halloween.
The regions two theme parks Hersheypark and Dutch
Wonderland both open their Halloween attractions this
weekend. Hersheypark in the Dark opens Friday, and Dutch
Wonderlands Happy Hauntings opens Saturday. Both offer
nonscary family fun, continuing weekends through Oct. 30.
Hersheypark in the Dark features more than 50 rides, including 13 roller coasters. During the last
hour of each evening, the park turns off
all the lights on its three wooden roller
coasters Comet, Lightning Racer
and Wildcat to add to the experience.
Visitors 12 and under are encouraged to wear costumes and
are welcome to trick-or-treat
at two locations in the park.
ZooAmerica, which can be
accessed through the park, will
host its Creatures of the Night
program starting at 6 nightly.
Its included in Hersheypark admission, or visitors can choose to
attend only the zoo, with a separate
admission.
Hersheypark in the Dark is open Fridays
from 5-10 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and
Sundays from noon-9 p.m. Admission is $25 for kids 3 to 8
and adults 55 and over, and $36 for ages 9

At Happy Hauntings, visitors can enjoy
more than 30 themed rides, such as the
Scaree-Go-Round and the Roller Ghoster.
Children 12 and under can trick-or-treat
with more than 20 lifelike dinosaurs at 10
stops throughout the park.
The park also offers live Halloween-themed
music and magic by Merlin the Great.
Happy Hauntings is open Saturdays from 2-9 p.m. and
Sundays from 2-8 p.m. Admission is $24.99. For details, visit

Ben Affleck stars as math savant with
secrets in thriller that doesnt quite add up

thriller The Accountant almost seems like an excuse for
Ben Affleck to try his hand at playing
a math whiz for once. But Afflecks
Christian Wolff is a far cry from Will

Hunting. Chris is a high functioning
math savant on the autism spectrum,
who finds solace in ritual, routine, patterns and finishing his tasks. He leads
an unassuming and mundane life in
rural Illinois as a strip mall accoun-
tant, but of course what looks simple

and quiet never is.
His unique gifts allow him a lucrative side-hustle as a forensic accountant for some of the scariest people
on the planet, according to Ray King
(J.K. Simmons), director of crime enforcement at the Department of the
Treasury. But that part of his life isnt
so much what The Accountant is
about. Theres no globe-trotting or cavorting with cartels and mob bosses.
The film is a bit of a bait and switch. We
think were diving into the antithetical world of the criminal accountant,
but what the film wants to explore is
where Chris came from, and how he

works.
Hes from a family ruled by an authoritarian hand by his military psychologist father, who whipped his neuro-divergent son into a super fighter
for self-defense purposes. When he
works, whiteboards cant contain his
extensive, meticulous, nearly supernatural methods. He accepts payment in the form of priceless pieces
of fine art. He spends a portion of his
nights listening to cacophonous music and battering his leg with what appears to be a rolling pin. He relaxes by
shooting cantaloupes with long range
anti-aircraft weapons.

While King and an upstart Treasury analyst (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) are hot to uncover Chris identity (it involves
googling Lewis Carroll a lot), he takes a gig hunting for a financial leak at biomedical company Living Robotics. Its the gig
that undoes him, as he connects with young accountant Dana
(Anna Kendrick), and runs into foes he never saw coming.
The Accountant isnt quite a twisty tale, but it revels in
slow-burning reveals that range from the blatantly obvious
clearly intended to make the audience feel smart to the
entirely inexplicable and confounding. Theres also a double
whammy of button-cute ending twists.
The film is far more potboiler thriller than prestige picture,
but Affleck is fun to watch in this against-type performance. In
flashbacks, we see Chris struggle with his neurological condition as a young boy, and Affleck takes those tics and tantrums
and turns them into grown up quirks and tendencies. Theres
often a dry humor to his deadpan and awkward interactions,
and the laughs are a welcome tonic in the otherwise cold and
violent film.
The cast is a great strength of The Accountant in addition
to Simmons, the beloved character actor set is rounded out with
Jeffrey Tambor, who plays Chris mentor, and John Lithgow
playing the Living Robotics founder, as well as Jean Smart as his
sister and business partner. Kendricks own tendency toward
the neurotic is well-channeled into her character.
There are many story threads left dangling, as if they were
planning a sequel to this hero origin story, wherein the accountant finds deductions and loopholes and leaks for the
worlds super-villains. The result is that it feels not quite done,
a good idea thats only half-baked.
n The Accountant is playing at the Regal, MoviE-town and Penn the-
aters. Its rated R for strong violence and language throughout. Running
time is 128 minutes.

HARRY POTTER IMAX FESTIVAL
Wizard Harry Potter is a literary hero, a Hollywood superstar and
now hes even a Broadway star. Nobody can get enough of the
kid.
Beginning Friday and running through next Thursday, Harry is
back in a big way. All eight of his movies will be screened in the
IMAX theater at Penn Cinema.
Hogwarts opens its doors Friday with the very first Potter film,
Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) at noon, followed
by the second, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
(2002) at 3:15 p.m. Zoom to the final two films, Harry Potter and
the Deathly Hallows, parts 1 and 2, (2010, 2011) at 7 p.m. and
10:15 p.m.
All eight Harry Potter films will be screened throughout the
week. The others are Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
(2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) and Harry Potter
and the Half-Blood Prince (2009).

ROMEO AND JULIET

The Ware Center will present a screening of a live performance
from this past spring of Shakespeares classic tale of forbidden
love from the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company. Directed by
Branagh and Rob Ashford, the show features Lily James as Juliet,
Richard Madden as Romeo, Derek Jacobi as Mercutio and Meera
Syal as the nurse. The screening will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Set it Off would often travel from his
Clearwater, Florida, home with his
parents when they came to Hershey
for their annual residency at Hersheypark. Their band, Four Guys and
a Girl, played covers of the Beatles,
the Beach Boys, Whitney Houston
and Celine Dion.
During a performance of Colors of
the Wind, Carson joined his mom
and sister onstage dressed as John
Smith.
Its my favorite theme park, Carson says. I have so many memories

there. I started as a Hersheys kiss, and
then I grew all the way to a Twizzler.
Carson, whose band will perform
at the Lizard Lounge Friday, always
hoped hed be able to take his bandmates to Hersheypark when they

Theres just not as much energy
there, Carson says. You put in hours
and hours of work to basically amount
to a golf clap. Its frustrating.
He borrowed a guitar from a guy
who lived across the hall in his dormitory. Carson began recording himself playing YouTube covers of All
Time Low songs and quickly gained
a following and the attention of All
Time Low frontman Alex Gaskarth.
After a series of exchanges, Carson
joined Gaskarth onstage at the bands
sold-out House of Blues show.
Soon after that performance, Carson left school to pursue a new musical project with Clermont, which became Set it Off.
The band jelled instantly, Carson
says. They found an all-hours practice
space and often wrote and rehearsed
songs from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

toured in the area. This past summer, he finally rode coasters such as
the Great Bear and Lightning Racer
with his bandmates when they came
through the area with Warped Tour.
We were finally able to make my
dream come true, Carson says.
While his Hersheypark performance only showed off his vocals,
Carson says his serious musical endeavors began on the clarinet. He
then drummed in ska and metal
bands in high school, and met Set it
Off bandmate Dan Clermont.
The musicians kept in touch when
Carson went to study at Oberlin Conservatory of Music in Ohio. While
Carson enjoyed his studies, he found
himself craving the energetic feedback he received when playing with
other bands.

Rising through darker times and

turning negatives upside down into a
positive thats basically the theme
of this record, because what weve
been going through, Carson says.
While the band did binge-watch the
Netflix series Stranger Things, in
which a parallel dimension is named
Upside Down, the album title was
decided before they watched the
show.
When creating this record, Carson
says the band enjoyed more freedom
than on other albums, on which the
band was concerned with achieving a
certain sound.
We really decided to just go for it,
Carson says. There were no restrictions, like it has to be this or it has to
be that. Its write a song and just write
a great song, and that was our standard for anytime we went into the
studio.
Once the tour ends at the end of
the month, Carson will join his bandmates in their new home, Los Angeles. After enduring some struggles
together as a band, he says he feels
ready to call them roommates, too.
We became stronger for that,
Carson says. I think thats why we
have the ability to move in together
into a place and not want to tear each
others heads off. We love each other.

That initial passion and work ethic

was inspiring, Carson says.
The band released the emo-influenced Cinematics in 2012, and the
slightly more adventurous Duality
in 2014.
While the bands success was rising,
gaining more than 1 million views on
YouTube for some songs and nearly
190,000 likes on Facebook, they were
suddenly faced with a difficult decision.
In May, 2015, a woman created
a Tumblr post accusing the bands
bassist, Austin Kerr, of sexual assault.
Shortly after the post was circulated
online, Set it Off announced that the
band was cutting ties with Kerr.
As tough as it was, we knew what
we needed to do, Carson says. I
think thats one of the strengths of
this band, is identifying a problem
and solving it.
The bands fan base responded with
support for its decision.
People realized that connection
that we talk about with our fans isnt
made up, Carson says. Its very real.
We care about our fans like a family.
Carson says he, Clermont, guitarist Zach DeWall and drummer Maxx
Danzinger got closer after deciding to
part with Kerr. Thats reflected in the
title of the bands latest album, Upside Down.

concerts, the Sleepy Hollow, New York, band would
close out its set with the cheerful, harmonica-laced
folk tune Alice in Space.
Almost immediately, fans would pop up from their
seats. No matter the weather, even indoors, many would
open an umbrella and dance around the rooms perimeter
while gently bouncing the umbrellas in the air.
While the image might make a superstitious individual
cringe, the umbrella dance was an homage to lead singer
and guitarist Joziah Longos mummer heritage. Mummers often dance with petite, ornate umbrellas during
performances.
Longos father, grandfather and uncles made a tradition out of performing in the annual Mummers Parade in
Philadelphia.
The whimsical nature and circus-like atmosphere of a
Mummers Parade is still very present in Longos genrebending music with the Slambovian Circus of Dreams,
who will perform at the Steampunk unLimited festival
at the Strasburg Rail Road this weekend. Longo borrows
from the 1867 song The Man on the Flying Trapeze
in one song, and clown imagery is used throughout the

Longo grew up hearing everything from 1920s folk songs to
the Beatles to Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. But a major
shift happened when he discovered Bob Dylan.
In a rebellion as a kid, you want to be rebellious against
your parents I found Dylan, who I knew, my father wouldnt
like this guy, Longo says. I just became immersed in Dylan
stuff. I learned everything Dylan had ever written when I was
12 years old.
By 13, Longo was performing Dylan covers live. Longo draws
from Dylans melodic rasp and lyrical imagery in his own music.
I grew up in Bob Dylanville, so I still have that little accent,
Longo says.
Longo found musical success with two of his Slambovian
Circus of Dreams bandmates wife and multi-instrutmentalist Tink Lloyd, and guitarist Sharky McEwen in New York
City as the Ancestors. They had a heavier, grungier, alternative
metal sound with hints of Longos oddball eccentrics.
The band was the first American act to perform in China in
the early 90s after a decade-long ban on Western music.
There were soldiers with guns at every show we did, standing in the periphery, Longo says. There was that much tension.
Audience members who tried to dance or head bang close to
the stage would be dragged out by security guards, Longo

The fourth annual Steampunk unLimited festival runs
from Friday through Sunday at the Strasburg Rail Road.
Steampunk is a genre of science fiction that incorporates technology into the Victorian age. The costumes are often based on Victorian clothing but accented with industrial accessories such as goggles
and gadgets.
Tickets to the festival include a ride on the Strasburg Rail Road. A Steampunk fashion show, Victorian ball, vaudeville acts and musical performances
will be featured, along with various vendors and authors of science fiction, steampunk and historical books.

dancing, Longo yelled to the guards to let them

go.
I thought, oh no, theyre either going to shoot
me or arrest me, Longo says.
Instead, they allowed them to dance.
All these families came out and they were
reaching out and we were touching their hands,
they were touching us, Longo says. It was very,
very cheerful.
The Ancestors also played Carnegie Hall and
received unsolicited interest from record labels, which the proudly independent musicians
wanted to avoid.
Longo and Lloyd left the city to move to Sleepy
Hollow and study recording at a community
college. There they connected with the bands
original drummer, Tony Zuzulo, and formed the
Slambovian Circus of Dreams a group thats
been described as a hillbilly Pink Floyd. There
are psychedelic elements of the Beatles Sergeant Pepper years, but also roots in folk music.
Music calendar
The bands name has gone through a few incarnations, including Longos alter-ego Gandalf
Murphy from time to time. None of the names
roll off the tongue, but Longo says that was intentional, in hopes of major record labels steering clear of them.
And where is Slambovia, anyway? Its more of a
state of mind than a geographical location, Longo
says. During his time with the Ancestors, he often said thats slammin to describe something
good, which morphed into thats Slambovian.
Longo is currently rebuilding his home studio,
and plans to break it in by recording the stockpile of new songs he has once its complete. Hes
also working on writing three different musicals.
While the band never has considered itself steampunk, Longo is seldom seen without a bowler
or top hat, and the bands offbeat look fits in with
a steampunk vibe.
Were always happy when somebody
embraces us, because weve always been the
oddballs out, Longo says.

It is 1945, and a young couple are on their second date in an
English country village, where they meet a charming older Irish
couple, the caretakers of a nearby estate.
The older couple is struck by how much the girl looks like the dead
sister of the senile old woman they care for. Her name was Veronica.
The older couple take the younger couple to the house and
show the girl Veronicas room, which has been kept exactly the
same since 1910, when she was still alive.
The older couple ask the girl if she would mind impersonating
Veronica for the old woman, who doesnt seem to know that her
sister is dead.
So the girl dresses up, circa 1910, despite the objections of her

date, who is getting suspicious.

After that?
The cast of four is pretty mum.
Pretty wacky
It gets pretty wacky in the second act. There are a lot of
layers, says Susan Cella, who plays The Woman in the older
couple.
Everyones sanity is in question, adds Havilah Brewster,
who plays The Girl. Nothing is what you think.
Identities are fluid, Cella adds.
The rug is being pulled from under you, say Michael Iannucci, The Man in the older couple.
And the audience members will all react differently, adds
Andras Lincoln, who rounds out the cast as The Young Man,
who is one more bit of information a lawyer.
All four agree it is an intense story, designed to keep the audience guessing.
Because identities shift so much, and the past and present
bump into each other, the cast is not given character names
but simply listed as The Woman, The Man, The Young Man
and The Girl.
Director Marc Robin has shifted the time period of the
show from its original 1971 going back to 1930, to 1945 going
back to 1910. Setting it deeper in the past seems to make it
creepier.
And the set in the small studio theater is designed to
bring the audience right into the action.
There are no rows of seats. Instead, chairs are interspersed
throughout Veronicas bedroom. The audience is actually on
the set.
The energy is right there, Iannucci says.
Still reeling
Shortly before this interview, the actors had their first
run-through with an audience, and they were still reeling
a bit from it.
We were so engaged. We really felt that energy from the

audience, Iannucci says. Our concentration

had to be laser. We really have to focus on the
actor you are talking to get really locked in.
They could hear people breathing and sighing.
They could see peoples faces and expressions.
Ive never had to do something so dynamic

before, Lincoln says. Thats whats fun. Thats
the best part of it.
The closeness of the audience is another manipulation, Cella says. The actors are doing a
play about questionable identities. Now, normally, you dont see anybody out there in the
audience. But here you see them, and you recognize some of them. You know them.
Playwright Levin is best known for his novel
and movie Rosemarys Baby and the stageshow-turned-movie Deathtrap.
Like Deathtrap, this show has plenty of
twists and turns, keeping audiences guessing.
And like Rosemarys Baby, the show has plenty of psychological layers to it.
After that first audience saw the show, the actors talked about ideas they and Robin had never discussed during rehearsals. But that was not
surprising to the cast.
There are plenty of nuances in the play, Lincoln says. The discoveries will never end.

e know so little about William Shakespeare that any

tidbit we learn about the
great dramatists life can be inspiring.
Thats how Jeremiah Miller felt
when he came across legal case from
1612, Bellott v. Mountjoy, in which
Shakespeare was called to testify.
Stephen Bellott was suing his fatherin-law, Christopher Mountjoy, for his
wedding dowry, and Shakespeare was
a lodger in the Mountjoy home at the
time.
Hed been a go-between in getting

Bellott to marry Mountjoys daughter, Miller explains. I thought I could

get a glimpse of who he was from that.
Miller put aside a play hed been
struggling with for years and began
writing a comedy about the case.
The result after a fast and furious
three months is the play The Toand-fro, which will receive a staged
reading Friday by Theater of the Seventh Sister at Steinman Theatre, Lancaster Country Day School.
The author of the book in which
Miller found this tantalizing small
chapter in the Bards life suggested it
would make a wonderful farce.

I was surprised nobody had tackled

this yet, Miller says. I was happy to
try.
Using testimony
In the actual testimony, presented
at the opening of The To-and-fro,
Shakespeare makes several assertions,
then retracts them.
Hes got this predisposition to ambiguity to double meaning, Miller
says. These contrary qualities, this
back-and-forth hes writing these
kind of plays.
At the time of the trial, Shakespeare
is living in London while his wife and

children are in Stratford. Miller explores how that affects his relationship with the Mountjoys.
He also looks at some of the characters Shakespeare was hanging around.
They included George Wilkins, a pub
owner, rabble rouser and writer who
many believe co-wrote Pericles with
Shakespeare, and Simon Forman, a
mystic and fortune teller best known
for his extensive diaries.
There was speculation that Shakespeare was having an affair with someone in the house, Miller says. There

in this poem, is captured on canvas in
artist Freiman Stoltzfus latest body of
work, Cathedral of Seasons.
The 20 or so paintings currently displayed in
his Prince Street gallery are designed to point
the viewer heavenward, or at least to some place
of peace within.
Unlike Dickinsons take on spirituality,
Stoltzfus gives equal due to both God-made
and man-made spaces.
The acrylic works in the show are large and

regal, painted in muted shades of grays and

browns with brilliant gold and copper highlights.
They depict an organic blend of Gothic-style
architecture and nature, especially trees.
This collection features cathedrals of stone
and branch, and the dialogue between them,
he says.
During his many trips to Europe, Stoltzfus often took the time to tour its cathedrals, knowing
he would be uplifted by their beauty and symmetry.
(They are) these wonderful architectural
spaces that were designed to inspire great grandiosity of thought, he says. They were meant
to give people something they didnt have in
their everyday life.
While walking with a friend at his favorite
chateau one day, he found himself amid a row

arching toward each other and forming a tunnel.
That was an epiphany for me, he
says. Because I realized at the time
that I was walking through a magnificent cathedral. It gave me very much
the same feeling, the sense of awe and
wonder you have both in nature and in
man-made structures.
That moment was the seed that produced his current series of paintings
that revisit one painting he created
nearly a decade ago.
Finding solace
I was doing work similar to this
eight or 10 years ago, he says. At
that time in my life, I had experienced
some rather tragic losses in my family.
It was a very difficult time for me.
The cathedral work, the trees, the
nature ... I gained great solace in this.
Its serene and quiet.
He lost a close friend this year and
has been troubled by the growing
sense of chaos he sees in the world, so
it seemed right to return to what had

This work has been tremendously comforting to me on a deeply personal level, he says.
It has given me a lot of peace and this wellspring of beauty and hope.
Im so grateful this theme came to me again
this year. It has been a real anchor for me.
There is somewhere, some kind of order in
mathematics, in architecture, in the seasons,
even if its only in my work for a few minutes.
Embracing the tension

Stoltzfus grew up in the Amish-Mennonite
tradition in Lancaster County. He surmises
that his Plain background gave him an appreciation for both the beauty that man has the
capacity to build, and for what God created for
our enjoyment.
I grew up surrounded by farms, fields and
orchards in the Amish country, he says. My
bricks and mortar church was a severely spartan Amish-Mennonite meetinghouse: white
walls, hard pews, with no artistic adornment.
I often think that my art springs from this
tension. Im naturally and natively drawn to an
austere, puritan sensibility, while also longing
for grandiose, over-the-top visual expression,
especially the Gothic and the Baroque periods.
In addition to architecture and nature,
Stoltzfus works also depict elements of music,
a theme ever-present in his work.
Music is still at the heart of my work, he
says. And if you look closely, almost all the
pieces have some feeling of music measures
or staffs, lightness and lyricism.
Ultimately, Stoltzfus exhibit is an ode to
beauty, both man-made and God-made and
the interplay between the two.
With just a little bit of imagination, anyone
can walk through a cathedral and see trees, or
walk through a row of trees and see a great cathedral, he says.

Finding director
When Theater of the Seventh Sister
decided to give the play a staged reading, Miller began looking for a director.
He found one in Jeff Wolfthal, who
played Laertes to Millers Hamlet in
the Peoples Shakespeare Projects
production of Hamlet last summer
at Millersville University.
Wolfthal works at the Pennsylvania
Renaissance Faire and has directed
Shakespeare before.
I knew he understood what I was
trying to say, Miller says. I was looking for a director with a sense of hu-
mor.
Wolfthal finds its wonderful having
the playwright so easily accessible. He
explained things to me, recommended
books to read.
Wolfthal thinks its a wonderful play:
funny, poignant and a little outrageous.
Tennis analogy
Theres some real dynamic word
play, Wolfthal says. And Jeremiah
wrote in plenty of sight gags. Its the
tennis scene that really spoke to me.
The scene is between Shakespeare
and the young Mr. Bellott.
Because the scoring in tennis includes words such as love, fault and
advantage, Miller was able to have fun
with the dialogue as the two men discuss love, marriage and their tennis
game.
Its kind of like Whos on First?
Miller says.
Do you lose love when you score?
When you pursue someone, are you
still in love once youve gotten him or
her?
He also explores the idea that real
love takes commitment, time, hard
work.
Is Miller worried about the audience
reaction?
Having just played Hamlet, I hope
to not worry about anything, Miller
jokes. I will be thrilled to see the grace
of other actors bringing my work to
life. I am so lucky. Its exciting.

For appetizers, we decided on the Salmon Spring Rolls
($10.95) and a cup of the Kennett Square Mushroom soup
($4.95).
The spring rolls with arugula, red onion, pickled ginger,
wasabi and sesame-soy sauce were cooked a crispy, golden brown, and the mix of strong flavors woke up the palate
big-time. The ingredients were well-balanced, with nothing overpowering the others.
The soup, with roasted white mushrooms, sherry and
cream, was rich and hearty, though I wish some bigger
chunks of mushroom would be allowed to get through the
food processor.
The appetizers were easy choices, but picking our entrees
proved a lot more difficult. Iron Hill has a big menu that
can make it difficult to decide what to choose. Our waitress,
whose gregariousness was matched by her patience, helped
us navigate the menu as we narrowed down our choices.
We finally settled on the Seafood Pot Pie ($19.95) and the
Old Charlestown Shrimp ($20.95).
The pot pie with shrimp, scallops, crab, haddock, potatoes, mushrooms, corn and peas was the perfect dish
to help usher in the fall. This was comfort food at its best,
meant to warm both the stomach and the heart. The creamy
white sauce bubbled around the abundant seafood, which
was nestled underneath a flaky pastry top.
The shrimp we ordered was supposed to come with a
stone-ground corn cake but we were allowed to substitute a black bean cake
that comes with the Red Chile Shrimp
($18.95).
The shrimp with andouille sausage,
applewood smoked bacon, bell pepper, onion and spicy white wine sauce
brought some surprising heat, which
increased incrementally, bite by bite. It
didnt singe the taste buds but it made
you take notice, and it livened up an already adventurous dish.
The restaurants serving sizes were
robust and we took food home with us,
meaning we skipped dessert.
Iron Hill is a big-hearted place that is
friendly and welcoming, and I have to
admit that I especially enjoy going there
in the fall. I think some of that is because
of the view of F&Ms leafy campus, but
it also has a lot to do with the warmth of
dishes like the Seafood Pot Pie.

Franklin & Marshall College.
Theres always a lot of traffic outside
the restaurant, both vehicular and
pedestrian. The walkers, mostly students, generate a lot of chatter as they
walk past the plate-glass windows that
allow Iron Hill diners to watch the
scene outside.
That conversation tends to continue inside the restaurant as Iron Hill
is a fun, boisterous place. Its usually
crowded and noisy, loud enough that
patrons have to raise their voices to be

Its a big place, with plenty of seating, both tables and booths. Theres
also a large bar area and the cooks are
in plain sight for those curious about
how their food is being prepared. Also
visible are the stainless-steel tanks
that the brewmaster uses to make an
ever-changing array of beers.
And thats where my spouse and I
started during a recent visit to Iron Hill
on a crisp fall night with a flight featuring four of the brewerys beers. The
new beers were good, but there was
nothing that swayed me from the opinion that the Ore House IPA remains the
