8. Terms and Conditions of Resident Parking Permit Application:

1. In case the required data in this from is incompletely or is partially lled out, or the required documents are not
attached, the applicant shall be requested to re-submit the application and the permit issuance shall be delayed.
2. The applicant should be at least 18 years old and should be legally competent.
3. The permit shall be exclusive to the vehicle which plate details are denoted in the vechicle permit and it shall be
nontransferable.
4. An additional permit may be applied for by applicant for rst and second degree relatives only residing therewith,
provided that supportive documents are attached. Issuance of the additional permit shall be subject to the
review and approval of the Permits Auditing Committee.
5. The resident parking permit allows its holder to park his/her vehicle in paid parking zones within the permitted sectors.
6. The resident parking permit shall not guarantee its holder the availability of a parking bay, as the permit is deemed an
authorization to park the vehicle when parking fees are applied, and should not be considered a temporary parking
rental contract.
7. In case the permit before the elapse of six months therefrom, and for reasons related to the general policy, is withdrawn
or cancelled before its expiry date by the Department of Transport / Parking Division, the permit owner shall be
compensated for the remaining period.
8. The permit shall be cancelled by the Department of Transport with no indemnity in the following cases:
A.

The permit is a grant from the Department of Transport / Parking Division which has the authority to withdraw
it if required so by the Departments general policy or the public interest.

B.

Discovering inaccuracy of some of the data, attachments and papers.

9. Use of permit shall be in standard parking bays only which curbstones are colored in black and turquoise within the
permitted sectors.
10. Complaints and objections related to the resident permit application and decisions related thereto shall be referred to
the Grievance and Complaints Committee concerning permits.
11. Issuance of permits is closely connected to the title or tenancy contract, and not to the landlord or tenant, and
evaluation of such shall be determined by ofcials in charge of permits issuance.
12. The printed copy of the permit shall be handed over to its owner, or his/her legal representative. An alerting SMS of the
permit shall be sent to the mobile phone number registered in the e-application.
13. The additional permit issued for relatives residing with the applicant may not be cancelled unless the beneciary
thereof or his/her legal representative appeared in person.

9. Declaration and Pledge:

I declare that all data and information marked down herein and the attached documents are true, and that in case any false
data or documents are provided for the purpose of obtaining a permit for my vehicle, I shall be subject to legal accountability.
I further declare, after reviewing the aforementioned terms and conditions, my legal liability and adherence to using the permit
as set forth by the law. Now, therefore, the permit was received.
I further pledge that I shall promptly abstain from using the parking permit and hand it over, if printed, to the Customer Care
Center upon request by the Parking Division, or in the event of:

Change in residence other than that for which the parking permit was issued;

selling or replacement of the vehicle subject of the parking permit, and

withdrawal of the parking permit by the Parking Division or expiry of same.
