- Penalty for including processed meat (bacon, ham, sausage, chorizo, corned beef, pepperoni,
hot dogs, deli meat and cold cuts)
- Penalty for deep frying
-For example, after grading French fries, it will get 4 bars out of 7. But after taking a bar off for
deep frying, it will end up with the score of 3 out of 7.
+1 bar (bonus point) for meeting the following criterion (the same way you do the penalties, but
instead of taking 1 point off, ADD 1 point):

Extra point for having lean animal protein in the ingredient list (skinless chicken/turkey
breast, chicken tenderloin, ground beef, beef top sirloin, eye round beef, pork tenderloin, all
fish and seafood [unless battered or fried, etc.])
For example, after grading chicken breast, it will get 4 bars out of 7. But after adding a bar
for it being a lean protein, it will end up with the score of 5 out of 7.
