Ms. Profetta
Honors Geometry
September 27, 2016

As I worked on this assignment, I learned that we use multiple subjects in each period or
class. We may use geography in religion, science in math, or religion in geometry. We used a
bible verse to give examples of inductive reasoning. In the following paper, the subjects of
converse, conjecture, counterexamples, conditionals and other terms are described or showed
through the bible verse of Romans 10:9.

Romans 10:9: If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the
dead, you will be saved. Each statement contains the first part of the sentence, which is called
the hypothesis, and the second part of the sentence, which is called the conclusion. This verse
can be written as a conditional such as, If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God
raised him from the dead, then you will be saved. If you wanted to write the word as a converse
which is the conditional just the hypothesis and conclusion switched around, then you would
write it like this. If you are saved, then you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God
raised him from the dead. This statement is true. To write the inverse statement you would
include the word not into each section of the statement. If you do not confess that Jesus is Lord
and do not believe that God raised him from the dead, then you will not be saved. This statement
is also true. Finally, to write the contrapositive you would write the same statement as the inverse
however, you would switch the hypothesis and conclusion around. If you are not saved, then
you do not confess that Jesus is Lord and do not believe that God raised him from the dead.
This statement is also true.

This bible verse is written in many different ways, switched around, using the word not,
and through all these ways each sentence is true. Some sentences put into some of these
examples do not always turn out to be all true, however with this verse all examples appear to be
true. Overall if you believe in Jesus and believe God raised him from the dead, then you will be
saved. If you do not believe in anything then you will not be saved it is that simple.
