What is pedagogical communication? It can be defined as a transactional process in which educators and students create a joint communication climate which changes from one moment to another as the conversation unfolds and the thoughts, attitudes and behaviours of both parties influence each other in some way. Communication channel The medium or route through which a message is communicated to its recipients, the most common channels being face-to- face communication, telephone, films, Internet, television, radio, and the printed media, including newspapers, books, and magazines. Slide Title Assertive Approach The assertive approach to classroom management expects teacher to specify rules of behaviour and consequences for disobeying them and to communicate these rules and consequences clearly. Students who disobey rules receive one warning and then are subjected to a series of increasingly more serious sanctions. The idea is for the teacher to respond to students misbehaviour quickly and appropriately. 4 sides of a message!
