Sub: Filling up of one vacancy of Assistant Extension Officer in the pay scale Rs.9300-34800+4200(GP)
during the year 2016 in the Directorate of Extension on composit method.

The undersigned is directed to state that 01 vacancy in the grade of Assistant Extension Officer in
the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800+4200(GP) in the Directorate of Extension, Ministry of Agriculture,
Department of Agri & coopn, New Delhi, is required to be filled up on Composite method from amongst
Officers under the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or public Sector
Undertakings or semi-Government autonomous or statutory organizations or Agricultural Universities or
recognized research institutions or Councils :-

(A) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department,
or

(ii) with Six years regular service in the scale of Rs. 5200-20200(PB-I) + Grade pay of Rs.
2800/- or equivalent; and

(B) Possessing the following educational qualifications:

(i) Masters degree in Agriculture or Agriculture Extension from a recognized University or Master
of Business Administration with Bachelors degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or
institute, or Masters degree in Rural Management from a recognized university or institute, or
Masters Degree in Agricultur e Business Management or Vegetable Science or Horticulture or
Agro Forestry, or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized university or institute.

Note 1 : The departmental Technical Assistant (Agriculture) in the pay band -1 Rs. 5200-20200/-plus grad
pay of Rs 2800/- with six years regular service in the grade shall also be considered alongwith outsiders
and if he or she is selected for appointment to the post, it shall be deemed to have been filled by
promotion.

Note 2 : The period of deputation(including short-term contract) including the period of deputation
(including short-term contract ) in another ex-cadre post held in another ex-cadre post held immediately
preceding this appointment in the same or other organization/department of the Central Government shall
ordinarily not exceed 3 years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term
contract) shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for the receipt of applications.
Note 3 : For purpose of appointment on deputation (including short-term contract) basis, the service
rendered on a regular basis by an officer prior to 1st January, 2006 or the date from which the revised
pay structure based on the 6th Central Pay Commission recommendations has been extended shall
be deemed to be service rendered in the corresponding grade pay or pay scale extended based on
the recommendations of the Commission except where there has been merger of more than one pre-
revised scale of pay into one grade with a common grade pay or pay scale and where this benefit will
extend only for the post for which that grade pay or pay scale is the normal replacement grade without
any upgradation.

The selected officer will have the option either to draw his grade pay plus deputation (duty)
allowance in accordance with the instructions issued by Ministry of Finance from time to time or to get
his pay fixed in the scale of pay of the post in accordance with the normal rules.

Applications with detailed service particulars of suitable and willing officers, who may be spared
immediately, alongwith photocopies of Confidential Reports duly attested by a class I Officer for the
last 5 years, vigilance clearance and integrity certificates, may kindly be forwarded to the undersigned
in the enclosed proforma within 60 days from the date of issue of this advertisement.

In the event of selection of the candidate, he/she will not be allowed to withdraw his/her
candidature. Therefore application of such candidates who may be spared by their Organizations in
the event of their selection, may only be forwarded. Incomplete applications or applications received
without attested photocopies of confidential reports, vigilance and integrity certificates are liable to be
rejected in the first sight.
