Terms & Conditions of the Pre-Registration System

(Run For A Reason Programme) for the Standard

Chartered KL Marathon 2017
General

1. This pre-registration system is only for participants of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon (SCKLM) 2016
who registered in the Individual and Run For A Reason Categories.
2. Pre-registration booking is only available online via the SCKLM official registration portal.
3. Only one (1) pre-registration entry per individual will be allowed.
4. No payment or donations are required to submit this pre-registration booking.
5. Participants may choose to support any of the following charities: Dignity For Children Foundation, Hospis
Malaysia, Standard Chartered Foundation, or The National Cancer Society Of Malaysia.
6. Participants may choose to pre-register in any of these distance categories: Full Marathon, Half Marathon,
10km or 5km.
7. Age criteria for the categories as stipulated in the SCKLM Rules and Regulations applies.
8. Upon successful submission of the pre-registration, participants will receive a notification email from the
Organiser with details on how to complete their registrations.
9. This pre-registration booking does not confirm your entry to the SCKLM 2017.
10. All pre-registration booking must be received by the Organiser no later than 31 December 2016. No pre-
registration booking requests will be entertained thereafter.

Registering for the run

11. Participants will be contacted by a representative of your chosen charity within 14 days upon submission of
pre-registration booking.
12. The said representative will provide details on how to obtain a PIN for registration.
13. A mandatory minimum donation of RM150 is required for every PIN. This amount will be reflected as the first
donation raised on every RFAR participants profile page
14. The PIN must be used to complete registration via the registration link provided on the SCKLM registration
portal between 3 January and 31 March 2017.
15. Upon successful completion of the registration process, participants will receive email confirmation from the
Organiser for successful SCKLM 2017 registration.
16. PIN codes are not transferrable. All unused PIN codes will be automatically deemed null and void after 31
March 2017, and no refund will be made.
17. Registrations will remain open until 31 March 2017 or when we are sold out, whichever is first.
18. All other Rules and Regulations for SCKLM as stipulated on the website apply.

Responsibilities

18. All individuals are responsible for their own pre-registrations and actual registrations and do so solely at their
own risk.

Indemnity

19. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and/or refuse entry to any participants without giving any reason
and/or notice.
20. The Organiser will not be held responsible or held liable in any way for any loss or damage howsoever
arising from the said pre-registration and registration for the run.
21. By submitting the pre-registration, the participants are deemed to have read, understood and agree to abide
by all the Terms & Conditions and the Rules and Regulations as set forth by the Organiser.
