Propagation and Rejuvenation of Art in Modern Time

In this rapid growth of technological era, somewhere along the way, the present generation is
moving farther away from the ancestral art and culture by leaps and bounds.
To rejuvenate and revive the same, Art Centres will play an integral role. They will act as a
platform for the local artists and will aid in making the lost arts available to the people of all
varied kinds of caste, creed and Class.
Here, mainly I have tried to provide the artists with functional, informally formal spaces, where
Art will be created, experienced and appreciated. Making art tangible to the newer generations so
that it is carried forward. Instead of conventional learning spaces, the workshops will be multi-
purpose.
The campus has a porous planning, focusing on utilising the day lighting to its maximum and
incorporating the dehumidifying factors catering to the warm-humid climate of Goa. Though the
visual arts and performing arts are segregated, they are physically and visually connected
through the Amphitheatre.
Modernizing the traditional architecture by using the laterite stones locally available along with
the conventional concrete.
