How to install the old USB Driver (RNDIS) for SIPROTEC 5 devices with firmware version V3.00
or earlier (for example, Railway Protection 7ST85)

To install the driver package follow the steps below:

1. Extract the USB driver package to any folder on the system.

2. Connect the SIPROTEC 5 device with firmware version V3.00 or earlier via USB
(for example, 7ST85).
Switch to Device Manager (My Computer, right click and select Properties).

3. Click Device Manager.

 4. Select Other Devices and right click SIPROTEC5 devices connected via USB

5. Select Properties.

 6. Switch to the Driver tab.

7. Click Update Driver.

 8. In the next dialog, select Browse my computer for driver software.

9. Browse to the RNDIS folder of the old USB driver software.

10. Click Next.

 11. The USB drivers will be installed on the system.

12. After successful installation of the USB drivers, the following dialog opens:

 13. Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, you can now see the SIPROTEC device
connected via USB.
