Information about the class


There are 26 teenage learners in the class. They have two fifty minutes lessons every
week as part of their school curriculum. I have been teaching them for nearly a year. They
use English My Love as their English course book.

Main Aim
By the end of the lesson the learners will have practised intensive reading.

Subsidiary Aim
By the end of the lesson the learners will have practised reading for gist and for detail.

Personal Aim
To make sure that all the learners are engaged in the activities.

Materials (including source)


Course book (English My Love), cards, sheets of paper, markers, blackboard, chalk,
stickers.

Assumptions
Learners are familiar with the topic of the unit (Books) and therefore able to make
connections between the books and the printing press.

Anticipated difficulties with tasks Solutions


Some learners may have difficulty with some of I will ask learners to consult the word box
