GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ASICUP 2016-2017:

1. The competition is open to all students of UE-Caloocan


2. Each team must be composed of a maximum of 4 members, and must
be currently enrolled in UE-Caloocan.
3. The bots must have a maximum dimension of 20 x 20 x 25 cm and a
maximum weight of 1.5 Kg. For programmable bots, only Zilog
microcontroller units are allowed to be used.
4. The competition will be divided into two tests: Agility and Strength,
each with individual tracks.
5. The robot must be autonomous. Strictly NO remote controllers and
physical manipulations during runs.
6. The robot is not restricted to a particular set of materials as long as it
does not use any sharp objects, flammable materials, or any other
materials that can harm other robots.
7. For programmable robot, it must be placed on the marking area with 5-
second delay before the robot runs.
8. The team with the most accumulated point wins.
9. The decision of the judges will be final and irrevocable.
10. Only pre-registered teams are allowed to participate. Strictly no
walk-ins allowed.

PROCESS OF SCORING: (Total points for each category is 100


points)
TEST OF STRENGTH
Mechanics: Two robots will compete against each other, with a goal of
pushing their opponent to the red zone.
Time per Round: 2 minutes
Total Points = (No. of wins/ No. of matches)*100
TEST OF AGILITY
Mechanics: Two robots will be running in separate identical tracks. The first
robot to reach the finish line wins.
Time per Round: 2 minutes
Total Points = (No. of Wins / No. of matches) x 100
Win =1 point Lose= 0 points Draw= 0.5 point
