Title: Savannah Landscape Painting Unit: African Art

Learn how to properly mix colors
Learn how to properly paint with watercolors

Foreground- front of the art (big items)
Middle ground- Middle of the art (medium items)
Background- back of the art (small items)
Horizon line- shows where the sun is (in the back of the art)
Form- means the whole of a piece's visible elements and the way those elements are
united.

-Show students a PowerPoint of the different animals found in Africa


-Talk to students about the objectives for today

painting process

-Walk around and take notes for the assessment and see if students need any help

Assessment (should relate to objectives):

The assessment will be taking notes over to see if students are properly painting
with watercolors and mixing colors. After students finish their artwork I will check
to see if they have in their paintings 3 African animals, Middle ground,
Background, and a Horizon line.
