Objective :
(A) Educational
i To make the pupils comprehend the first four paragraphs of the
lesson
ii To practice description, mainly Past Simple Tense and Present Perfect
Tense
iii To familiarizes the pupils with the following phrases, used in the text,
so that the passages become easier and simpler for them

reading lesson more accessible to the pupils.

(C) Linguistic:
(i) Structural: To teach the pupils the following structures:

Motivation: To motivate the students for reading [5 mim, time] the teacher will do the
following:
[1] Questions:
(a) Have you ever seen a tiger? (by hanging the picture of the tiger on the
wall)
(b) Have you ever seen a farmer ploughing his filed? (By hanging the picture
on the wall).
(It makes no difference whether the pupils give answer in yes or no.
Our aim is only to arouse a desire in the students to read the text).

To day we will read the story, The Clever Wife: in which we see atiger
talking to a farmer (the announcement. a tiger talking to farmer will
increase their interest in reading the text).

The teacher will narrate the story very briefly showing pictures where
