A note from the Pastor
Dear Parishioners,
I take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you
a Happy New Year. Let us entrust this year to our loving
and provident Father in heaven. I pray that God's grace
will help us grow in our faith and condence in Him so
that, regardless of what the coming year may bring, we
may persevere in faith with steadfast hearts.
Please help me welcome Deacon Gonzalo Siller to our
parish for this weekend. Deacon Gonzalo is a transi onal
deacon for our Diocese of Fresno in his fourth and nal
year of seminary. Along with two other transi onal
deacons, Deacon Gonzalo will be ordained a priest in
May here at St. Peter's!!! Yes! Our parish will host the
priesthood ordina ons for our diocese this year. That's
the reason I invited deacon Gonzalo to come and pray
with our parish community, exercise his diaconate
ministry by preaching the homily at our Masses this
weekend, and see the church where he and his
classmates will be ordained priests in a few months. I am
condent that our parish will make him feel welcome!
Please keep Deacon Gonzalo, his classmates, and all our
seminarians in your prayers.
Next weekend please welcome Msgr. Ronald Swe for
our weekend Masses. Msgr. Swe is one of my former
pastors; I served with him as an associate pastor when
he was pastor at St. Philip's parish, from which he re red
in 2013. In his re rement Msgr. Swe has managed to
stay very ac ve in his travels as well as in ministry! Msgr.
Swe has been in our parish a couple of mes during the
last year. Once again, I'm condent that he will feel at
home at St. Peter's next weekend.

a nuestra parroquia este n de semana. El dicono
Gonzalo es un dicono transitorio de nuestra Dicesis de
Fresno en su cuarto y l mo ao de seminario. Junto con
otros dos diconos transitorios, el dicono Gonzalo ser
ordenado sacerdote en Mayo aqu en San Pedro. S,
nuestra parroquia va a ser la antriona de las
ordenaciones sacerdotales de nuestra dicesis este ao.
Por ese mo vo invit al dicono Gonzalo a venir y a orar
con nuestra comunidad parroquial, ejercitar su
ministerio diaconal predicando la homilia en la Misa
dominical, y a visitar la Iglesia donde l y sus compaeros
sern ordenados sacerdotes dentro de unos cuantos
meses. Tengo plena conanza de que nuestra parroquia
lo har sen r en casa. Por favor mantengan al dicono
Gonzalo, a sus compaeros, y a nuestros seminaristas en
sus oraciones.

viajes como tambin del ministerio sacerdotal.
Monseor Swe ha estado en nuestra parroquia un par

St. Peter's Moms Bible Study group needs you!
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the
month from 9am11am. We choose a dierent
Catholic study every few months and spend our
me deepening our faith, learning more about
the Catholic church, sharing in the joys and
struggles of raising young children, and growing
friendships. If you are a mom of young children, we would love
to have you join us! We are in need of childcare helpers. If you
are available on Friday mornings, please contact one of us to
help care for our children while we meet (no commitment is
necessary, any help is appreciated!). Moms of young children
need a break, and what be er way to support the families of
our church than to provide a break for our moms while they
