Not wanting to return to school, I want to explore the field of Computer Science. This is my
planned reading list:
1. Anathem
Introduction
2. Land of LISP
Mid-Range
OMG my Brain!

2. What is the single most influential book every programmer should read? Stack Overflow
Online Courses
1. MIT Opencourseware
2. USNW - Elearning
cough cough
I've included Anathem for the sole reason that it encouraged me to start down this road. I plan on
moving from Fiction -> Practice -> Theory.
EDIT: So I've added the books recommended; what order should they be in?
EDIT 2: Wow. Tons of great responses, I'll start filtering through all of these comments and build
a better list. Keep the books coming!
EDIT 4: Just found Google's Computational Thinking curriculum for K-12 and just bought the
book Land of Lisp. Added them to the Introduction section.
