 Bayluhay which came from the word baylo which means barter or to
exchange. Bayluhay is a festival of San Joaquin in which the people of San Joaquin
expresses their pride and honor in the heritage, culture, and beliefs. The musical
play about Sugidanon Bayluhay is about the story of Ati people in panay and
from the people of Borneo who had a transactions in the Ati. The prince of Panay
People is going to pick his wife. There is a love triangle between the girl who loves
the prince but she afraid to show off her feelings and a bad girl who knows how to
do black magic or shall we say gayuma the prince so that he will attracted to her
and wanted to be her wife. In the play, they showed Filipino belief like usog.
The second play is about a sultan and his people as captives. The sultan abuse his
people, and had them as his slaves. Because of sultan do to his people, his people
turned against him and they immediately escape after their fall on the ground
together with his sword. The people accidentally went to the Ati tribes land. The
people were hungry because of being abuse of sultan and they have many wound.
So the king of the Ati gave them food to eat and after that, the king asked on what
to give back to them. So the people of Borneo offered gold so that they can live
and a part of Atis land. The actors and actress acted so well, they are talented in
singing, dancing. The play show that love can conquer anything even if you have a
potion that can make your loved to be with you. The musical play was so amazing.
I really enjoy watching.
