supported and helped us throughout this survey. We would like to thank our dean
Dr. Suyat, for letting us conduct our survey in the Architecture/ICT building of
Pangasinan State University. We would also like to thank Archi. Castillo, the
Madam Andres, our school librarian and other faculty members for guiding us in
our Energy Team Advisor, for teaching us everything we need to know to complete
Lastly, but most importantly, we would like to thank the Almighty God for

Introduction
This survey and analysis aims to obtain data about the electrical energy
provide appropriate action plan to any energy-related problem found during the
survey. This includes the efficiency of the room with respect to the comfort of the
The data will be gathered by collecting the power rating of each appliance in
each location (rooms, offices and corridors/hallways) and monitoring their time of
usage. Unfortunately, due to the teams busy schedule with other major course
subject, the team cannot monitor the specified area; the time of usage of some
appliances will be based on the rooms schedule while others will be based on
Data Analysis
Based on the tabulated data, it shows that most of the power consumption of
the building is from rooms in the second floor, where a lot of computer systems and
air conditioning systems are being used simultaneously throughout the day. This is
due to the fact that most computer-related subjects are being thought in these
facilities and air conditioning system is recommended for the maintaining the
One of the rooms in the second floor, specifically ICT Lab 5 contains obsolete
and old model of computer systems which are not being used anymore due to their
poor performance compared to the newer computer systems in the other rooms.
It is also found that the rooms in first floor of the building lack lightings and
other appliance such as electric fans are not functional which could result in
discomfort of the students having class in these rooms. Considering that most if not
all of the students in these rooms are BS architecture students whose major
subjects are related to drawing, poor lightings has a big impact in their
performance.
The library also has some defective compact fluorescent lamps that may
affect the il experience of the students and other personnel reading in the library.
