1.- Present Simple: We use present simple when talk about facts
(hechos), routines and habits.

2.- Present Continuous: We use present continuous to talk about


actions happening at this moment and temporary actions happening
around now.

Interrogative: Am/is/are + S + V (-ing) + C + ?

3.- Past Simple Tense: We use past simple for complete actions in
the past.
a.- Structure:

Negative: S + didnt + V + C to beS + Verb. to be
(was/were) + not + C
Interrogative: Did + S + V + C + ? to beVerb. to be
(was/were) + S + C + ?

4.- Present Perfect: We use present perfect to talk about an action


or experience at some point in the past up until now.
a.- Structure:
Positive: S + have/has + V (past participle) + C.
Negative: S + havent/hasnt + V (past participle) + C
Interrogative: Have/has + S + V (past participle) + C + ?

5.- Future Plans: BE GOING TO: We use be going to to talk about


future plans and intentions (when the speaker makes the decision
before speaking).

-We can also make comparisons with (not) as.as. For example:
Martha is as tall as Tom, but she isnt as tall as Rachel.
(Martha es tan alta como Tom, pero no tan alta como Rachel.)
-We can use a bit and much for modify comparative adjectives:
-A bit: a small difference: Im a bit taller than my brother.
-Much: a big difference: That test was much easier than the
last one.

7.- Indirect Questions: We use indirect questions when we want to


be polite. Some indirect phrases:
-Can you tell me? -Do you mind?
-Could you tell me...? -Is it OK with you?
-Do you know?
We have three forms to express an indirect question:
a.- Wh- questions: verb to be
-Direct: question word + to be + subject
Where is the party?
-Indirect: indirect phrase + question word + subject + to be
Could you tell me where the party is?
b.- Wh- questions: main verbs
-Direct: question word + do/does/did/can/could + subject + verb
What time does this shop open?
-Indirect: indirect phrase + question word + subject + verb
Can you tell me what time this shop opens?
c.- Yes/No questions
-Direct: do/does/did/can/could + subject + main verb
Can Jack speak Spanish?
-Indirect: indirect phrase + if/wheter + subject + main verb
Do you know if/wheter Jack can speak Spanish?
