Oversee overall mainframe and non-desktop services, such as mainframe z/technologies, cross-platform processing, IBM Blade,
and distributed hardware and software, including datacenter operations, systems programming, and business applications support,
with annual budget responsibilities of $14M to $16M. Spearhead the successful relocation of HHL, HSA, and PCG/BSPA
datacenters in New York, meeting target project dates. Administer all outsourcing engagements with HSA and Apollo Healthstreet,
ensuring contract service level commitments are met.
Led several successful technology upgrades, including the installation of processing equipment that increased revenue; the
effort increased business processing capacity by 800% from 2005 to 2013 and with an increase in operating budget of
26%.
Coordinated HMS mainframe datacenter relocation efforts from New York to Irving TX. This was accomplished within a
12 hour window without impacting HMS or outsourced clients.
CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER 2001-2013
Assumed full responsibility for the physical, logical and data security, including annual external audits of the datacenter by Grant
Thornton and client auditing organizations without any audit qualifications (negative findings). Ensured adherence with the
Compliance Organization through complying with audit requirements for a separation of duties, while keeping the security
duties of the datacenter under the control of this position.
DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL SERVICES AND OPERATIONS 1998-2005
Established the datacenter disaster recovery plan using remote recovery services (SunGard), and administered the annual disaster
test that facilitated the recovery of key business systems, which is a requirement under the Sox 404 and HIPAA regulations.
Directed the entire telecommunication activities that led to establishment of a second processing site in Irving, Texas in
2005 where duties have been split between two organizations Distributed Systems and Technical Services
Generated cost savings of $600K and reduced staff by 30% through automation of processes in data de-duplication,
eliminating nightly job failures
Increased revenue by $8M through installation of additional processing capacities within narrow timeframes
Successfully merged hardware maintenance into a single provider that brought $600K annual savings
Designed and developed processing front-end for efficient handling of Healthcare paid claims to support core business
processing improving processing times from quarterly to monthly and volumes from 2 clients to 143 clients. This allowed
the company to become the dominate player in the paid claims processing market.

Solely managed all mainframe and mid-range services and systems programming functions involving all operating systems
(OS/390, MVS, VM, DOS/VSE, DEC/VAX), online systems (CICS, DB2), system support software, and systems security
(Mainframe). Supervised hardware planning and installation, capacity planning, mainframe technical architecture, as well as data
and performance management in a multi-CPU mixed vendor environment. Developed budget of $6M allocated for all mainframe
software company-wide. Spearheaded the consolidation of acquired businesses into the data center, eliminating redundant hardware
and software. Provided assistance in the management of outsourcing engagements, coordination of meeting, and fulfillment of
service requirements. Managed the migration of the mainframe DASD environment from 3380 technology to 3390s. Conducted
several due diligence studies to evaluate the technical infrastructure of potential business acquisitions.

Led numerous technology upgrades that focused on installing state-of-the-art hardware (Hitachi GX-6215, GX-6325, GX-
6425, IBM 9672-R24's, ESCON conversion, SYSPLEX, Parallel SYSPLEX), operating systems (MVS/ESA 5.1, OS/390,
VSE/ESA 2.1), and major subsystems (CICS 3.3, CICS 4.1, DB2 4.1, Open Edition/MVS)
Minimized VM/ESA through migration of business applications and functions into MVS/ESA, resulting in annual
reduction of $300K up to $700K
Supervised the development and implementation of a cost accounting system for MVS processing
Initiated and implemented the use of automated storage management architecture (DFSMS)
Successfully implemented a development infrastructure in support of business applications, including DB2 and work
station to mainframe object management and transportation

Played an integral role in extending the processor life into two additional years, which generated $2.4M savings on leased
