One This logo follows that design standard put in place and

represented by both the BBC 2 and BBC 4 logos (being fully

capitalised and using a harsh san serif font). The logo stays consistent
with the colours recognised and used throughout the BBC 3 branding.
However this logo does go somewhat against the idea behind BBC 3
because it used harsh corners in the text, this might lead the viewer to
believe this is a more serious channel like others within the BBC
network.

Two This logo stays consistent with most within the BBC network as it
incorporates the original letters BBC in the 3 individual square known
world wide. The logo indirectly portrays the number 3 by using 3
individual lines. The 3 lines above the BBC logo also create an
exclamation mark, which keeps in theme with a more fun channel. The
logo stays consistent with the colours recognised and used throughout
the BBC 3 branding.
Three This logo incorporates the classic squares from the BBC logo
and continues on to put the letters from the word Three into their own
squares too. The logo keeps the colours of the BBC Three theme and
keeps consistent with the current BBC Three logo in keeping the word
Three in all lowercase. The logo uses the BBC squares as a basis in
creating a 3 by 3 formation of squares, and as there is not enough
letters to fill all of the squares and exclamation mark is used to fill the
last one. This exclamation mark stays true to the nature of BBC Three,
as it is the channel that shows the most exciting and fast paced
programs.

Four This logo incorporates only one of the key BBC Three
colours (purple). Again this logo includes the standard BBC
logo, however this time it is stacked on top of a 3d
representation of the word Three in block capitals. The
word Three is made in a harsh sans serif font, which more
resembles some of the older BBC Three logos and looks
more similar the BBC Two and Four logos.
Five This logo is a more defined and 3d variation of the logo BBC used
in 2014. This logo contains the word Three in all lower case lettering
which all of the letters connecting in someway. The lettering is
lowercase to represent the nature of BBC Three being less uniform.
The letters stay true with the colouring using the pink used by the
channel on the word Three and leaving the BBC squares in black with
white lettering.

Six This logo was more based on the old 2003 logo using a more
robust Helvetica styled font for the Three lettering. The logo
incorporates the standard BBC logo with a small extrusion to the
squares. The lettering for Three has a more glass/transparent 3d effect
which allows for the viewer to seethe backing of the 3d lettering. The
logo uses the top of each of the letters to create a flat platform in which
the BBC logo can sit on. The logo used the standard shade of purple
used in the BBC Three identity but doesnt incorporate the pink.
Seven This logo incorporates the BBC logo but adds a rounded bevel
to it to create a friendlier feel to the logo. It also includes three lines
that can signify both the numeral 3 and a signal indicator (because the
channel has moved online). The three lines have been given both a 3d
effect and an overlaying bevel effect that gives the impression of an
either a plastic or rubber material. The logo incorporates all of the
colours used within the BBC Three identity.

Eight - This logo incorporates the BBC logo in the form of just text
rather than in the 3 traditional squares. The logo uses three pink ones
to represent the value 3 for the channel. It also incorporates the colours
associated with BBC Three (pink and purple). The logo uses block
colours, no shading and hard cornered shapes.
Nine This logo uses geometric shapes to create a graphical
representation of the number three. The logo only uses the basic
colours use all the way the throughout the channel (purple and pink).
The logo also incorporates the classic BBC squares that are used on
every single BBC channel on the network.

Ten This logo consists of multiple geometric shapes that create the
entire logo. The logo consists of the basic BBC squares that are
recognises throughout the network. The colours used in the logo are the
same colours used throughout the channel (pink and purple). Geometric
shapes also form the numeral three underneath the BBC logo.
Top Three Logos

When starting my logo development I only had a rudimentary knowledge of

Photoshop and how to manipulate an image, but as I further delved into creating
my logos in discovered the ability to manipulate images in a 3d environment. On
the creation of my fourth logo I started to use this feature and refine my ability
to create 3d logos. Upon creating my Seventh logo I feel I had finally learned all
the aspects of the new workspace allowing me to create the logo I am most
happy with. I prefer my seventh logo to any of my other logos, as it is one of the
similar ones however it still conveys the message of the channel. I want to
further develop this logo by adjusting the environment behind the text and
shapes to create more depth behind the logo.
