Greetings of the day!

We are almost on the verge of completing the 11th standard syllabus for your ward in a few days time. The
first year of the 2-year rigorous training of IITJEE is coming to an end and we thank you for the support and
encouragement extended by you. We also hope that you are constantly monitoring the progress of your ward
and motivating him/her in completing the assignments, study package, Archive etc of every chapter of P,C,M
subjects.

You must be aware that JEE Advanced is a different exam but certainly not a difficult examination. On many
platforms, we have been reiterating the importance of rigorous practice that is required for cracking the exam
and securing good ranks at all India level. Our students are in no way inferior to students of other States in
terms of intelligence. They do possess every capability to get top ranks. The present style of JEE examination-
demands accuracy, consistency and speed. These three will improve only with good practice of a variety of
questions being done again and again. Students, who worked hard, have always scored better ranks, every
time, irrespective of the pattern and difficulty level of the paper. In a nut shell, having intelligence alone is not
enough to obtain good ranks in JEE, as it also requires extraordinary commitment to practise good,
challenging questions in a systematic way.

The cut-off for selection in IIT varies substantially between 90% for Top ranks, to 30% for mere selection. As a
responsible institute, we consider ourselves duty-bound to help students of every calibre to achieve their
individual best. In line with this duty and objective we frame groups/batches every year by reshuffling the
students so that students of similar calibre strive for their best performance through a coordinated training.
For the upcoming year, we propose the following formula for RESHUFFLING examination of all class 11
integrated students.

Firstly, dividing the students into 2 streams, namely Stream A and Stream B.

Stream A: Students who can cope with the gritty IITJEE training, solving their Printed and Tab assignments to a
reasonable extent and are ready to take extra sessions whenever needed.

Stream B: Students who do not fit into Stream A

Secondly, immediately after the completion of their class 11th Annual examinations, we will be revising all the
concepts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from their 11th standard curriculum to give them complete
mastery over these chapters for their JEE preparation. As part of reshuffling examination two papers each of
3 hours duration will be conducted. Paper 1 will be from Phases 1 & 2 syllabus on 14th March 2017 (tentative
date) and Paper 2 is on 29th March 2017 (tentative date) based on the syllabus of Phases 3 & 4. This will give
an opportunity to each and every student to revise the entire syllabus of Class 11, to clarify their doubts,
complete the pending assignments if any, before starting their class 12 preparation.

The marks scored by the students in these two papers together will carry a weightage of 90% for their
reshuffling examination. 10% weightage will be given to the assessment by the three faculty members of
P,C,M. Academic coordinator and course coordinator who will rate the seriousness, commitment, sincerity of
the student. Based on this 100% score, the students will be shuffled into batches as A1, A2, A3 and B1, B2, B3
and so on. The final list will be displayed on 31st March 2017. To qualify in stream A batches students should
submit ASBs of all phases (wherever not submitted) before the 2nd reshuffling test and score minimum 50%
marks in Tab assignments pertaining to class XI. There are 45 more days to go for doing these assignments;
even those students who have not done it seriously till date, can do so now. A special assignment solution slot
is also created in MVM (4pm to 5.30pm) on all 7 days where any technical difficulty is immediately addressed
by the Edfora Engineer. Students can clarify their academic doubts from the PCM subject teachers. At this
time students can also solve their Tab assignments using school wifi.

Before implementing this formula, we want to pay attention to your opinion. Therefore, we invite you for a
special PTM on 12th February 2017 (Sunday) at 4.30pm at Maharishi Vidya Mandir School. You may attend
the meeting if you wish to discuss further or make any suggestions. Else we will proceed with this plan to
make the students realise the need for practising more to achieve top ranks in JEE 2018.

Note: Due to board examinations (for class10 and 12 ) scheduled in the month of March 2017 in MVM, the
above mentioned dates may change slightly. So, Pl check your time table carefully for exact date and timings.
