Select to use 50 keys for PLU key layout.

Select use 60 keys for PLU key layout.

Version
Select Version
Select the proper version of the connection program: The upper versions will have
features that are not present in the lower versions and most importantly, the scale
must be compatible with the selected version and

Select either to enable or to disable the display of the icons under the menu bar.

View Status Bar


Select either to enable or to disable the display of the Status Bar at the bottom of the
main window, which will show brief details of each selected menu

Select [View] [Status Bar].
If the Status Bar is checked, the bar will display at the bottom of the main window and
if the Status Bar is not checked, the bar will be removed.

Item File

File
File New
Open up a new file. If changes were made to the previous editing file, make sure to
open the new file after confirming whether or not to save the previous editing file.
<Procedures>
Select [File] [New].
The program will open up a new file.

File - Open
Open up the file that you are willing to edit: The extension of the item file is noted as
*.item
<Procedures>
Select [File] - [Open] or push the <Ctrl + 0> keys.
Select the preferred file in the Open window
Select [Open].

File - Save
Save the currently editing file. If the file has a name, save the file with the existing
name and if the file does not have a name save the file after typing in the preferred
name. The file will be saved with the preferred name.
<Procedures>
Select [File] - [Save] or push the <Ctrl + S> keys.

File Save as
Select Save as and save the currently editing file with a different name.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Save as] or push the <Ctrl + A> keys
2. Type in the file name preferred to be saved as.
3. Select the type of file preferred to save it as and designate the destination preferred
to save it at.
4. Select [Save], once completed.
If a file with the preferred name already exists, an alert window will appear stating that
the file already exists and will ask whether or not to write over the existing file with the
new one. Select [Yes] to write over the existing file or [No] to not write over and to
save it with a different name.

File - Print
Print the editing file with the selected printer. Make sure to setup print and print
options properly in order to printout the preferred format.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Print] or push the <Ctrl + P> keys
2. Check the printing range and the number of pages you prefer to print and the
content shown in the window will be printed. Printing range confirms whether to
print all pages or selected range of pages. Number of pages confirms the
selected page and the number of copies to be printed.
3. Select Print File in order to save the content being printed to a file.
4. In order to cancel during printing, push the <Esc> key or select [Cancel].
Note:
Before printing, make sure to check if the printer to be used is the same printer as the
one selected under [Print Setup].

File Print Preview

Select [Print Preview] to preview the page format to be printed. [Print Preview] will
not only allow editing the current page, but also will allow previewing its current format
to be printed. [Print Preview] will save papers and will allow previewing the print
layout faster.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Print Preview].
2. Select <PgDn> to view the next page and select <PgUp> to view the previous
page.
3. Select [Close] to set back to the editing page.
[Icon]
1. Push <Alt I + P> during view print and Print window will appear.
In this state, if you exit to the file window, Print window will appear.
2. Close <Esc> - This will exit the view print window to the main window and will set
back the cursor to where it was originally left off.

File Print Setup


Designate the printer to print out the file with. The pages will printout properly only if
the printer is setup properly.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Print Setup] or push the <Alt + R> keys.
2. Print Setup window will show the currently selected printer.
3. In order to change the printer drive, select the most suitable drive under Printer
4. To find out about the printers drive, select properties and check its details.
5. Select the size of the page and the installation to setup in accordance with the
page that will be printed and select the print direction to match the position of the
contents that will be printed.
6. Select the contents under print setup to print selected contents.

File - Exit
End the connection program and exit to Windows. Save the existing file before ending
the program.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Exit]
End the connection program and exit to Windows
Note:
If a user forgets to save the file and selects [Exit], a message window will appear and

ask whether or not to save any file being edited. If the user selects [Save], the
existing file will be saved before the program ends. If the user selects [Exit], the
existing file will not be saved before the program ends.

Register
Register Item
Shift to a new window to register item data
<Procedures>
Select [Register] [Item].
A new window will appear with item registration.
If an item file window is already opened, the new window will appear as inactive and if
there is no opened item file window, then the new window will appear as active.

Register Ingredient
Shift to a new window to register ingredient data
<Procedures>
Select [Register] [Ingredient].
A new window will appear with ingredient registration.
If an ingredient file window is already opened, the new window will appear as inactive
and if there is no ingredient file window opened, then the new window will appear as
active.

Register PLU Key Layout and Connection


Shift to a new window to register PLU key layout and connection data.
<Procedures>
Select [Register] [PLU Key Layout and Connection].
A new window will appear with PLU key layout and connection registration.
If a PLU key layout and connection file window is already opened, the new window will
appear as inactive and if there is no PLU key layout and connection file window
opened, then the new window will appear as active.

Register Advertisement
Shift to a new window to work on advertisement messages.
<Procedures>
Select [Register] [Advertisement].
The program will shift to a new window to work on advertisement messages.

If an advertisement file window is already opened, the new window will appear as
inactive and if there is no transmit advertisement file window opened, then the new
window will appear as active.

Edit Paste Received Items
Copy and paste the received item files from the scale to the opened item file.

Select to print a portion of items or entire items.

Print selected items individually or select print all to printout the entire selected items.

Select the connection method between the scale and the PC.

IP Registration

Register the scales proper IP address for Ethernet connection.

Select the scales to upload data to, including items, ingredients, PLU key layouts from
the PC.

For Serial Connection.

Select each scale to send data from the PC under Select Scale [Multiple Connection]
category
The Baud Rate is initially set to 38400bps and this can be changed to a preferred
rate (The connection rate must match the connection rate set in the scale).
In order to select all the scales consecutively, select Scale Number under Scale
Consecutive Setup category and input the first and the last numbers of the selected
scales.

For Ethernet Connection

Click on the IP address of the scale to have connections with and click on the "Select"
button at the bottom. Check if the Select category is set to TRUE and click on the
Setup button to finish setting up the connection.

Rearrange all the opened windows in a cascade pattern.

Window - Title Horizontally


Rearrange all the opened windows horizontally.
<Procedure>
Select [Window] - [Title Horizontally].

[Plus] When new windows (all item files, or ingredients files, or PLU key layout and
connection files) are opened, names of those opened files will appear at the bottom of
the "Window" menu and clicking on to any of the name will shift to the selected file.

Procedures to Delete Existing Item Data


Delete single item
1. Click on a preferred row (line) to delete the item from.
2. Click on "Delete" button at the bottom left of the window

Delete series of items


Select and Delete series of items by using Ctrl or Shift keys

You must follow the regulations below when inputting "Item" data to the
existing file or a new file.
- Product (PLU) Number: Maximum of 50000 numbers (numbers only)
- Product Name: Maximum of 28 characters including letters and numbers
- Product Origin: Maximum of 200 digits (numbers only)
- Unit Price: Maximum of 99999 digits (numbers only)
- POS Flag: Maximum of 999 digits (numbers only)
- POS Code: Maximum of 9999999999 digits (numbers only)
- Fixed Price: Maximum of 999999 digits (numbers only)
- Quantity: Maximum of 99 digits (numbers only)
- Fixed Weight: Maximum of 15000 digits (numbers only)
- Price Unit: Maximum up to 15 (numbers only)
- Barcode Type: 0 or 1 (numbers only)
- Date Option: 1 ~ 6 (numbers only)
- Effective Date: Maximum of 999 days (numbers only)
- Ingredient Number: Maximum of 1~96 numbers (numbers only)

The extension of the item file is noted as "*.item".

Add new item to the currently opened file or to a new file.
A continuous adding feature using Insert or (ctrl, shift) keys.

Delete
Delete item from the currently opened file or from a new file.

A continuous deleting feature using Delete or (ctrl, shift) keys.

Sort
Lineup the items in the opened window in order by their numbers

Send All
Send all item data in the opened file to the scale.

Send
Send only the selected items in the opened file to the scale.
A continuous selecting feature by using Send or (ctrl, shift) keys.
(Sent data will be saved as "C:\Motex\TransInfo\Year\Month\Day\Time\Item\filenameinfo" file.)

Stop
Stop sending the item data to the scale.

Receive
Receive preferred items after selecting a scale during "Connection Setup".
(Received data will be saved as "C:\Motex\ScaleData\Year\Month\Day\Scalenumber.rcv" file.)

Unless the "Connection Setup" is properly made, the "Receive" button will be inactive.
If the "Connection Setup" is properly made, the Receive button will be active.
Input the preferred item number to the "Edit" box next to the button.
When finish receiving all item data, the combo box in the "ScalePC" frame will
display the received item numbers.
Select any of the received item number and the relevant item data will display in a new
window.
(Copy the preferred item data in this window and paste it to the "All Item File". When
pasting the item data, select [Edit] - [Paste Received Item].)

Stop
Stop receiving item data.

Click this icon in order to open up the previous received file.

Check Repeated Items


Click on this icon to check if there is any same item, item number, and POS code in the
data.

Combo Box

When a user inputs new item data to the opened item file, the user can easily select the
relevant code for the item data, such as "Product Origin", "Fixed Mark", and "Barcode Type",
which have numbers of codes.

Procedures to input data to a Single Item.


Select the row (line) to input the data to and select the preferred Product Origin,
Fixed Mark, and Barcode Type.

Select several rows (lines) by using the Ctrl or Shift key and select the preferred
Product Origin, Fixed Mark, and Barcode Type.

View Single Ingredient


The length of each data for ingredient file is quite long for a complete view.
Thus, the program will display the selected data in a new window for a
complete view.

Sort
Lineup the ingredients in the opened file in order by their numbers.

Send All
Send all of the opened ingredient data to the preferred scale.

Send
Send only the selected ingredients in the opened file to the scale. A continuous
selecting feature by using Send or (ctrl, shift) keys.
(Sent data will be saved as "C:\Motex\TransInfo\Year\Month\Day\Time\Item\filename.ainfo" file.)

Stop
Stop sending the ingredient data to the scale.

PLU Key Layout and Connection


(When Selecting 50 PLUs for the Layout)

The program will open up a new file. If changes were made to the previous editing
file, make sure to open the new file after confirming whether or not to save the
previous editing file.
<Procedures>
Select [File] [New File].
The program will open up a new file.

File - Open
Open up the file that you are willing to edit: The extension of the PLU key layout and
connection file is noted as *.pre.
<Procedures>
Select [File] - [Open] or push the <Ctrl + O> keys.
Select the preferred file in the Open window
Select [Open].
File - Save

Save the currently editing file. If the file has a name, save the file with the existing
name and if the file does not have a name save the file after typing in the preferred
name. The file will be saved with the preferred name.

File Save as
Select Save as and save the currently editing file with a different name.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Save as] or push the <Ctrl + A> keys
2. Type in the file name preferred to be saved as.
3. Select the type of file preferred to save it as and designate the destination preferred
to save it at.
4. Select [Save], once completed.
If a file with the preferred name already exists, an alert window will appear stating that
the file already exists and will ask whether or not to write over the existing file with the
new one. Select [Yes] to write over the existing file or [No] to not write over and to
save it with a different name.

File - Print
Print the editing file with the selected printer. Make sure to setup print and print
options properly in order to printout the preferred format.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Print] or push the <Ctrl + P> keys
2. Check the print range and the number of pages you prefer to print and the content
shown in the window will be printed. Print range confirms whether to print all
pages or selected range of pages. Number of pages confirms the selected page
and the number of copies to be printed.
3. Select Print File in order to save the content being printed to a file.
4. In order to cancel during printing, push the <Esc> key or select [Cancel].
Note:
Before printing, make sure to check if the printer to be used is the same printer as the
one selected under [Print Setup].

File View Print

Select [View Print] to preview the page format to be printed. [View Print] will not only
allow editing the current page, but also will allow previewing its current format to be
printed. [View Print] will save papers and will allow previewing the print layout faster.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [View Print].
2. Select <PgDn> to view the next page and select <PgUp> to view the previous page.
3. Select [Close] to set back to the editing page.
[Icon]
1. Push <Alt I + P> during view print and Print window will appear.
In this state, if you exit to the file window, print window will appear.
2. Close <Esc> - This will exit the view print window to the main window and will set
back the cursor to where it was originally left off.

File Print Setup


Designate the printer to print out the file. The pages will printout properly only if the
printer is setup properly.
<Procedures>
1. Select [File] [Printer Setup] or push the <Alt + R> keys.
2. Printer Setup window will show the currently selected printer.
3. In order to change the printer drive, select the most suitable drive under Name
4. To find out about the printers drive, select properties and check its details.
5. Select the size of the page and the installation to setup in accordance with the
page that will be printed and select the print direction to match the position of the
contents that will be printed.
6. Select the contents under print setup to print selected contents.

File - Exit
The connection program will end and will exit to Windows. Save the existing file before
ending the program.

1. Select [File] [Exit]
The connection program will end.
Note:
If a user forgets to save the file and selects [Exit], a message window will appear and
will ask whether or not to save any file being edited. If the user selects [Save], the
existing file will be saved before the program ends. If the user selects [Cancel], the

Procedures to Setup the PLU Key Layout and Connection Data Page.
1. Select the page in the Select PLU Layout Page window.
2. The page setup allows the user to select which PLU layout page data to send
to the selected scale during data transferring.
3. When the opened file is saved after selecting the page, the page layout will be
saved and be displayed when the same file is opened.

You must follow the regulations below when inputting "PLU Layout and
Connection" data to the existing file or a new file.
- Line 1: Item Number (numbers only)
- Line 2: Letters and Numbers
- Line 3: Letters and Numbers
- Line 4: Letters and Numbers

The extension of the PLU key layout and connection file is *.pre.
