3
PENNSYLVANIA SUPREME COURT RULING ON LOCAL SHARE
On September 28, 2016, the Court declared the municipal local share provision
to be unconstitutional.
The Court also severed the county local share provision from the Gaming Act.
The Court has stayed its decision until May 26, 2017 to allow for a legislative fix
which has yet to be enacted.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course entered into an agreement
with Dauphin County to maintain local share payments for 2017.
