geological effects. Is suitable for building construction; Silty sand
High underground water depth of 0,50m. Low underground water depth of 1,50m;
FOUNDATIONS:
The building will have one underground floor, so the general excavation will be of the order of 5-6 meter
depth, including the excavation for foundations, in layer 3 (sandy silt).
The Park of the Museum will have two underground floors. It is estimated that the thickness of earth to
be excavated (including the excavation for foundations) is of the order of 7 meters, in layer 3 (sandy
silt).
Foundation types:
Bored cast in place concrete piles for heavier load zones (good durability, convenient construction, low
cost, easy to control);
Precast concrete or steel piles in lower load zones;
Layer 1+2 (silty clay) as a design bearing capacity of 80 kPa. This can be used has a surface
foundation for auxiliary facilities;
HAISHANG MUSEUM - MUSEUM & CULTURAL FORUM
FOUNDATIONS:
The filling layer can be submitted to a soil treatment (crush, ramming, consolidation);
For piles with small loads layers 1+2 and 1-1, 1-2 are used as pile foundation bearing layer
For piles with higher loads, layers 2-1 and 2-2 are used.
The pile length will be between 40m to 50m.
FOUNDATIONS:
Foundation Liquefaction:
Layer 3 (sandy silt) is a liquefiable soil layer with a liquefaction index of 4.80;
Below the buildings this layer could be removed (2 to 3 meters) or submitted to soil treatment.
Lateral support of the excavation during the construction can be made by different methods.
The better solution (most economical) is using adequate lateral slopes to the excavations, if possible; If
not a retaining wall must be constructed, using anchors or braced solutions;

STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS:
Structural analysis will include a 3D model of the entire structure and localized models;
The software used will be:
SAP2000 NON-LINEAR: general structural analysis;
Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2017;
Pyrus from Cubus: non-linear column analysis and design;
Fagus from Cubus: cross-section analysis and design (reinforced and prestressed concrete and
steel-concrete composite sections);
Plaxis: geotechnical analysis

The structural solution for the buildings uses concrete and steel structural elements;
All staircases and lift walls will be in reinforced concrete;
All columns in the basement are made of reinforced concrete.
The beams will be reinforced concrete beams and prestressed concrete in cantilever zones.
For high spans steel trusses will be used.

Concrete
BUILDING STRUCTURAL SOLUTION:
FLOORS:
Profiled steel sheeting
The floors will be made by:
COMPOSITE STEEL/CONCRETE SLAB WITH STEEL DECKING
Composite concrete / steel sheet slabs supported on
steel beams;
Solid concrete slabs;
SOLID CONCRETE SLAB
Concrete ribbed slabs.
FLOORS:
Steel beams have the advantage of allowing pipes to pass through them easily.

FLOORS:
In the cantilever zones prestressed concrete beams will be used (cast in situ or precast);

COLUMNS:
At the ground floors, conic enlarged column heads (shear punching) are considered together with a
constant thickness solid slab;
