2 Problem Analysis (Formulate the Solution)

The project aims to design bottling system with electromechanical concept .

There are four main steps

1- Bottling delivery system

It will feed the rotational plate by empty bottles , these bottles will get down
word depending on its weight

2- Bottling filling station

The liquid will be filled via controllable valve which work depending on signal
from the pic (microcontroller) , the signal may be calculated by liquid quantity
or flowing time . this will be discussed through the project .

3- Covering process
This step will be performed by an electromechanical arm , the arm will take
the cover from self which contains moving covers , the cover moves to the
front of shelf motor by using linear actuator or sensor (opto coupling ) which
send signal to the pc to rotate the shelf motor to bring a new cover , then the
arm will close the bottle by the cover by rotating the cover until the bottle
rotate .

4- Bottles packaging
After the plate rotation the bottle will be down word directly to packaging
container , then the bottle will be moved to its place depending on its order .

2.2-Project Requirements

2.2.1- Engineering Requirements (Technical Specifications)

The proposed plate will be around 30 cm diameter .
No more than two bottle will be loaded on the plates .
The bottle capacity will be around 300ml .
We will need four motors for covers shelf , rotating plate , bottles shelf , and
packaging .
linear actuator to push both covers and bottles .
2.2.2-Marketing Requirements

The requirements of the project to be marketed is decreasing its cost and increasing
its quality , this will be performed by decrease the total size of all parts such as
arm , rotating plate. etc , on the other hand the type of the selected motors must
has highest torque with smallest power consumption to achieve lowest cost .

2.3-Realistic Constraints

The weight of rotating plate and bottles which represent an important constraints ,
we can overcome this constraints by using plastic plate instead of material that has
high weight with diameter as small as possible .

3-Preliminary Design/Detailed Design (Solve the Problem)

The design aims to fill four bottles with liquid and package it , the suggested design
will contain sevo motors to push bottles using linear actuators also to push the
covers , and servo gripper which will feed the bottles with covers .

The main plate is intended to be controlled by a stepper motor, and we must have
advanced servo controller that will help other servos to operate .

The proposed system will be as shown in the block diagram in the figure below

As shown in the block diagram there is main power supply will feed all component
with 12 v power .
The microprocessor is the main brain of system which will receive all digital signals
from sensors via interface kit . this kit has 8 digital input each digital input will be
connected to the sensor output , 8 analog input and 8 digital output will be
connected to the microprocessor .

Stepper controller is the digital/power transtrator which receive the digital signal
and outs power signal suitable to drive the motor , on the other hand the advanced
servo controller will do the same but for the servo motors .
